Am I really over doing it post c-section!?

I’m 10 days post c -section and I thought my Lochia was easing; I went for a walk around the shops today, maybe 2.5km
And when I got home the lochia was heavy and red. A quick call to my midwife and she was utterly unconcerned but didn’t say whether it was due to me over doing it - anyone experienced this?

This happened to me too, Secret, I’ve had 3 c-sections and recovered quite quickly but this would happen when I’d overdone it a little. I’d usually rest a bit more the next day or 2 and it would ease off again. Probably your body’s way of telling you to take it a bit easier. Take care Flowers

Thank you; I feel good in myself, not taking much pain relief and am keen to get going again; so I’m finding it rather frustrating but I’ll chill today with bub on the sofa and see how it goes.

I think your pain should be a better measurement of if you’re over doing it; I would have struggled to do that much walking 10 days after but I had a difficult recovery. If it didn’t hurt at the time, later that day or the next day then I wouldn’t think you’re overdoing it. I found a longer breastfeed would make mine worse as apparently your uterus contracts when you feed, could it be that? Or if not just the movement.
