OK. But dramatic but I do seriously have a balding patch on my head, at the bit on the top where a headband would sit. Plus my hair is dry, snapping and my scalp feels kinda like its been in a tight bun all the time but its not. I had PP hair loss starting around 6PP and it calmed off around 10PP but it's started again. Is this a thing? It's really getting me down as the bald patch is all I can see / think of - I've been told to see a GP by some but feel a little daft going to a doctor because my hair is upsetting me!

Hi op don't feel daft! You've had a life changing experience and loosing your hair can feel like the last thing you need. I'm a hairdresser and have seen lots of women with pp hair loss. It's very common and totally normal, I've experienced it myself this past few months. Like everything there are different extremes. There are products you can try (Nioxin is a good one) maybe visit your hairdresser for some advice and a treatment. As always it is advisable to check with your gp that you don't have an underlying condition. If your hair is very dry and brittle I would also advise against any chemical processes i.e. colouring/highlights until your hair feels more normal. There's also supplements you can take, I know some people have positive experiences with those. Try not to worry and I'm sure all will return to normal once your hormones settle down x

Thank you.

I forgot to say I'm 14 months PP so I'm definitely 'back to normal'... Or I should be!

I've started that shampoo you mentioned, and it helps for about 24 hours then my scalp gets itchy again. I'm trying to make a point of not itching it - going to give it a week or so and see if it settles.
