Hip still hurting 6 months after birth

Just wondering if anyone else has been in the same situation, or if anyone has any advice about hip pain.
It started in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy, then during the birth I was in a pool for quite a while on my knees and they kept slipping apart, so don't know if it could be some sort of injury from that? Had physio for weeks after the birth the they fobbed me off with 'physio yoga' which was once a fortnight and was the same set of exercises I'd already been doing at home.
No improvement, at the moment it's worse than it has been for a while, just in one hip, feels very 'clicky' and like it might give way, get sharp pains that shoot down my thigh when I move in certain ways, feel very inflexible on that side i.e can't hug that knee to my chest anymore but can on the other side.
Just looking for anyone else in the same sort of boat, should I push GP for a scan to see what's going on? Should I try the physio again?
Thanks all!

Bump. Anyone had anything like this?

Not from having kids I have JHS and my hips are clicky and give those symptoms. Mine subluxes several times most days.

It's entirely possible you've damaged a ligament or tendon. Speak to your GP and ask for another referral to physio and ask for a scan - worst they can say is no.

Oh thank you for this! I will definitely go back to the dr then and see if we can try something other than physio

I still have one painful hip and my baby is now 2 and a half!

It’s starting to get worse now so going to have to make a GP appointment. I expect it will be a physio job.

Oh no @Osirus !!! I'm sorry you've suffered with it for so long, hope the gp suggests something useful.
I'm seeing mine tomorrow to say that the physio isn't working. Sadly I think it would hurt less if I lost weight, I'm not particularly overweight I just know it would have less stress on it if I lost a stone.

That sounds horrible. Definitely push for a referral for a scan. I have a bad hip from pregnancy too, so you really have my sympathy.

I have this in both hips but worse in my left. I had SPD but also we have a hereditary hip problem in the family. I haven't been to the GP as I suspect the first thing they will say to me is to loose weight.

Well I saw a physio two days after my gp appointment and I'm seeing him again Monday. They seem shit hot on physio through my gp surgery rather than the post natal physio I saw in the summer.
He gave me a different set of exercises, a 'spikey ball' to roll under my hip, groin, back and bum on that side and told me to put heat on it as much as possible. Not going to lie, I feel 40 or 50% better already, that spikey ball is incredible. I look like a maniac rolling about on it on the floor and I look like I'm doing some sort of barmy masturbation rolling up and down on it but it is worth it! After the first session with him then doing those exercises at home I could sit with my legs crossed for the first time in 6 months.
He didn't say anything about losing weight, though I'd still like to lose a bit.
