Vaginal prolapse

Feeling low...10 weeks ago I gave birth to healthy baby boy after an episiotomy and forceps delivery 😫 2nd baby (1st baby born via c-section). This has resulted in a vaginal prolapse. I have followed the advise and carried out regular pelvic floor exercises but it has not helped at all 😕 I've just been back for review today at Woman's Outpatients and the consultant basically said there's not a lot that can be done and she has referred me to a specialist physio for more pelvic floor exercises?!
I'm currently uncomfortable (not in pain), experiencing excessive vaginal discharge requiring twice daily showering and use of sanitary towel 24/7, and unable to have intercourse with my husband (not that that's an issue right now but in the longer term...?).
Anybody been through this or any stories of hope to share? X

10 weeks is very very early days! I felt rubbish with my prolapse at 10 weeks, and I didn't start feeling more normal until a few months after my period returned st 9 months postpartum. I think I was 14 months postpartum before I actually had a whole week of feeling normal. Physio really can help so much.

10 weeks is so early - my advice to myself would have been, don't be so upset about it because it will change a lot over time. I had stress incontinence for 2 years, then it stopped! I didnt do any pelvic floor exercises. I have a cervical and vaginal prolapse which I was very upset about. I then lost a stone for my wedding and realised it didn't bother me anymore - so I definitely think that abdominal fat doesn't help and when you lose it, everything lifts up a bit.
I had excessive discharge and was told it was cervical erosion *not as awful as it sounds) and got it treated so you should definitely go to the gp, it's not normal.
