Bottle feeding help!

I have a toddler and a 6 week old. The 6 week old is a hungry baby and wants to feed a lot. He especially likes to feed all night and then sleep
In. The toddler likes to rise at 5 and play all day. I'm exhausted and caring for a rowdy toddler and trying to breast feed is challenging. I've tried to put baby on the bottle with formula and expressed and he refuses. He occasionally will take a little of the bottle from my husband. If I try he screams and screams. I've tried when he's hungry. I've tried when he first wakes up. Any tips? Anyone had a similar experience? Thanks

Hey I had this issue and I understand how stressful it is , what bottle are you using I had to try a few before she decided she would take the mam ones as they are designed for bf babies. I think persistence is key and dont try when they are hungry when they are hungry all they can understand is they want the breast (imo). I tried for 3 months and it was so hard then one day I went out for the day and just left her with her dad it was either go very hungry or have the bottle and she had the bottle ! Once he does finally take it make sure he’s having a bottle atleast once a day to keep him used to it

She would only take the bottle at 4 months and now at six months she sits and holds it herself it’s hard to believe it’s the same baby ha you will get their with persistence

My DD would only use nuk teats (we got them from Boots), so maybe try a few different teats until you find the one the wee one likes? I hope you find something to help soon.

Thanks everyone. Had a bit of success today. I found distracting him worked well and then he took it and mixing a bit of breast milk with formula. I think he's not keen on the taste xxx

I would suggest trying a range of different bottles / teats. My little girl has HUGE tonsils and Tommee Tipee bottles made her gag. She settled on and liked MAM. Good luck
