Stomach muscle separation HELP

Someone help. So since having my 9 month old baby I have had a slight stomach separation. It causes me no pain but is it there. Since November I have done physio therapy exercises everyday and for a few months attended a class weekly till my baby became too active to lie next to me. The gap still hasn't closed at all. I got referred to speak to a surgeon and he spoke to me awfully and made out there isn't such thing until I made him feel it. He said he's the Expert and that the gp and physiotherapist were wrong and that I'm fine to do ab exercises etc even though there's a gap. Now I'm super confused as even online I know ab related exercises can worsen it and won't ever allow me to have a toned tummy or abs.... no idea what to do

Join a gym and get a personal trainer. Don't dabble with exercises unless you know they are suitable!! A PT will give you a good programme to follow.

Mine never knitted back and my youngest is 11. You can still tone your stomach up though. What do you mean by slight? A finger width?

I am at the gym I do cycling and stuff but the gp said all exercises with weights use abs somehow and that it can worsen it and so now I feel like I literally can barely do any exercises. I used to thrive off the classes and I'm stuck only able to do cycling and the gaps a few fingers it won't close and hasn't whatsoever despite 40 mins physio everyday and moving onto the more advanced moves as my balance has gotten better.

And I spoke to the PT at the gym and got exercises but I've done those for 5 months and I still have a separation and my stomach isn't going to tone up with a gap

are you talking about diastasis recti? there are specific, safe ways of healing this (perhaps not completely but partially.)

google it for videos/instructions on safe methods, see a PT or physio specializing in women's health.
