Tooth decay following hyperemesis and acid reflux during pregnancy

I was just wondering whether anyone else had experienced acid erosion following having suffered with hyperemesis and acid reflux during pregnancy? I had my first post natal dentist appointment yesterday and the dentist was very patronising and unhappy with me because my last xray before pregnancy showed my teeth in great condition. Yesterday however the xray showed early signs of acid erosion on some of my teeth (which she said could be saved by flossing and brushing) and one tooth has to have a filling.

The dentist was extremely quick to blame my diet being too full of sugar but having had time to think about it I'm reluctant to accept that really is the cause as my post and pre pregnancy diet is exactly the same if not a little healthier post pregnancy. All I can think for such a deterioration in the condition of my teeth in 2 years is that the throwing up every day for 6 months in addition to constant snacking to keep the sickness at bay followed by constant acid reflux all day every day for several months must be the cause rather than my diet...
