Belly Bandit Tummy bands- has anyone tried them?

I am 2 weeks postpartum (c- section). I am looking at buying one of the bamboo belly bandits but unsure if they will actually help flatten my tummy and reduce the swelling.

I am a size 10 and my tummy is still, obviously at 3 wks postpartum, very soft and flabby. I'd like a band to help bring my rectus muscles back together (at the moment I have 2 finger width diastasis recti).

Anyone tried the Belly bandit? www.bellybandit.co.uk/collections/belly-wraps/products/bamboo-wrap

Hi there!
I had ordered one before birth as was thinking it would help me tone my tummy afterwards. Their online sizing “calculator” was definitely correct for me. I couldn’t close the belt until about 2 weeks postpartum but the website said that’s normal.
I actually ended up with a EMCS and although my healing process was easy, unfortunately the belly bandit was very uncomfortable on the scar area. It sits a lot higher than my incision but somehow it felt like it was pushing everything down and putting pressure on the scar/internal tissues/organs. It didn’t feel right at all to have all that pressure even though it wasn’t painful.
I’d been told it would be great for cs recivery too but to be honest I hardly used it. It became comfortable at around 6-8 weeks but by then I was meeting up with mum friends and running errands and didn’t like the way you could tell I was wearing a girdle.
On the other hand the postpartum pelvic belt given to me by my midwife was comfortable and supported my scar area quite nicely. Stopped wearing it around week 7 though after the relaxin related “soft” feeling in my joints was gone... and of course it is only for your pelvis and will not cinch your waist or tummy in at all.
So for me this was £80 wasted :( hoping to be inspired to use it later on...

The bellybandit was good in helping tighten everything up, but just temporarily. As soon as you take it off, within an hour you're back to the natural shape post partum. It's incredibly uncomfortable though so you don't exactly enjoy sitting for and eating, which may be a blessing as you could lose the weight that way. I used it first time round but didn't bother second time.
