I had a CS on Wednesday and was told afterwards that I'd have to have blood thinning injections for 10 days afterwards. I've injected insulin throughout my pregnancy and assumed it would be like that but it's really not and I am struggling with them.
The needle seems massive
and I am not sure how best to inject them. The mw said to do so in my tummy but while I was in hospital they were using my thigh so I've carried on with that as for some reason I feel more squeamish about my tummy.
I thought she said to inject at a 90deg angle but when looking up information online it said 45deg angle so worried I have misremembered. It also says to avoid muscles but I guess my thigh has these.
I know I can ring them and I'm not expecting professional medical advice but I feel like a prize idiot so I thought maybe someone here could reassure me I'm not the only one who has found it hard and any tips welcome.
