When did your period return?

I had my daughter 11 weeks ago and I've not yet had my first period. My friend who had her baby 2 days after me and briefly breastfed has started spotting. But I didn't breastfeed at all and still no sign of aunt flow. So my question is, when did yours come back? Smile

Coffe3break · 08/03/2018 11:29

18 months on and still no period yet for me.

StaceyF85 · 08/03/2018 11:29

Yeah we've had unprotected sex 3 times. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests and they were both negative.

Dd is 18 weeks and no proper AF. Had the odd bleed that lasts no longer than an afternoon and nothing more than a pantyliners could deal with (Sorry TMI). Dd is combination fed if that makes a difference.

GlennRheeismyfavourite · 08/03/2018 11:33

I think it was 8 or 9 weeks later

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 08/03/2018 11:34

6 weeks with dc1 and 4 weeks with dc2 - ebf both times! Angry

happymummy12345 · 08/03/2018 11:36

I didn't breastfeed at all.
I had bleeding for 3 weeks pp. then my first proper period was the month after I gave birth.
I went back on the combined pill at the 6 week check, so after that I had my withdrawal bleeds not proper periods.

caribari72 · 08/03/2018 11:39

After my first (breastfeeding) it came at 6wks.
I remember being at 6wk GP check and she said that wasn't so unusual
I think I discovered later that being a "wholesome/ Rubenesque/ well-upholstered lass has a bearing - something to do with oestrogen levels?

Stacef85 · 08/03/2018 15:13

Thanks everyone, I might go see my GP if it hasn't returned in a few more weeks. I was hoping that I might be pregnant again, but as I've had two negative results and no symptoms, it's probably unlikely. Smile

Interested in this aswell! My ebf baby is 5 months old and no period yet.

Hope I can get to 18 months as well coffee!

MessyBun247 · 08/03/2018 16:22

I EBF and it returned when DD was 14 months.

MessyBun247 · 08/03/2018 16:22

(Obviously I didn’t EBF until 14 months, just until 5-6 months).

Pennywhistle · 08/03/2018 16:23

My periods took two years to return.

43percentburnt · 08/03/2018 16:24

4 months despite ebf twins! I couldn't believe it. Nature mocking me I think!

Pennywhistle · 08/03/2018 16:31

That’s funny 43 as I also had ebf twins.

Just goes to show we’re all different.

Kintan · 08/03/2018 16:36

6 months and ebf for me.

kikibo · 08/03/2018 17:55

4 weeks bang on. FF from the start.

IWouldLikeToKnow · 08/03/2018 18:25

Mine took 10-11 weeks to return

ruleshelpcontrolthefun · 08/03/2018 18:31

Not until I stopped bf DD when she was 22 months. Now bf DS at 18months and no sign of a period yet.

NoSwsForYou · 08/03/2018 18:33

3 months for me despite EBF. I was Angry

TrashPanda · 08/03/2018 18:36

Not until I stopped feeding at 14 months with DS2. Can't remember with DS1. Sort of hoping it will be the same with the one due today is feeding goes to plan. I am quite small with a low bmi though, not sure if that makes a difference.

Mine started yesterday, nearly 7 weeks after c-section (formula fed).
