3 months post c section - normal?

I had my baby 3 months ago by emergency c section after failed induction

Pre pregnancy I was a size 12, and I put on about 3.5 stone.
Baby was a large one at 10lb (have very tall people in the family)

I've been eating healthily ever since and when o was able to start getting up and about I walk regularly.
However I'm still a size 16 and look very out of proportion with a very wide hips and belly with overhang.

I keep seeing people who gave birth around be same time as me and they are back in their pre pregnancy clothes and wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

Is it normal to still be 2 sizes too big?

Will it go down eventually?

Do I need to be working at it harder?

I think it is harder (ahem... Check out my username)

I think it is possible to quite near to the way you were but not at 12 weeks and not exactly the way you were. My overhang is not really there anymore after two years. I am going to toughen up the regime now. Also knickers etc haven't fit the same and I don't think they ever will

I'm having my fourth section in 2 weeks. Had my first 9 years ago and was size 10, completely flat stomach. It took me about 3 years to get off the weight but i was never how I was before. I've always had an overhang too, though it does go down and goes less noticeable, it will never completely go. Its dead muscle as well as fat. With subsequent pregnancies my overhang has gone bigger but that might be because my last three pregnancies have been really close together and haven't really slimmed down in between.
