How long until I stop wee'ing myself??

Need a ball park figure.

5 weeks PP, leak when I stand (stress incontinence).

I now do regular exercises (pelvic floor), how long until I should expect to see results??

Wearing a pad is becoming tiresome

Have you been referred to see a women's health physio? If not, ask at your six week check. What you describe isn't normal (obviously!) and I wouldn't assume that it's just going to get better with a few pelvic floor exercises.

Women's health physics are great and really make sure you're doing the exercises properly. Good luck. This childbirth lark sucks Flowers

I agree, I think you should see someone about this.
I never had that. And I never bothered with pelvic floor exercises at all.

I've given birth 6 times. I've never experienced that.

Go to your GP & get refered to a physio specialising in womens health.

Kel you really should bother with pelvic floor exercises.

Very often your pelvic floor will be fine until your 40/50's. Take care of yourself now.

It will stand you well in years to come!

I used to wee when i sneezed or similar, after giving birth. Lasted about 4 months. Then i still had to wear light pads because i would leak a little if moving about alot, for about 6 months.
Just keep doing the pelvic floor excercises. Everybody heals differently.
5 weeks is not actually that long to heal if you have been injured so i wouldnt be too worried yet. Mention it at your six week check up? There is surgery they can do if it persists but at 5 weeks they wont really do anything except reccomend excercises because you are still healing.
My friend tore front to back when she gave birth and was doubly incontinent for some time even after she was stitched. A year later and shes completely fine, doesnt leak at all or need to wear pads or anything. So try not to worry too much just yet as your body is still healing.

I saw a physiotherapist straight after birth, she told me that due to forceps, it would be normal to expect some form of leak.

My DM spoke to a physiotherapist yesterday who said what I was experiencing was completely normal too, advised I kept up with my exercises.

I had a strong pelvic floor before birth, so much so, it took me at least 30 seconds to start wee'ing when sitting on the toilet!

Now, its straight away.

Are you sure everything's okay down there? Any pressure or anything not feeling right? 5 weeks isn't long anyway.

I'm 4 months PP and have a uterine prolapse (my uterus has fallen away and weighing heavily on my bladder - joys of forceps) and I've been told to help fix it with more pelvic floor exercises than you can possibly imagine. No other treatment offered until I'm done having children. I use an app called Squeezy to help me remember to do them, but I do them way more often than the 3x a day recommended.

I haven't read any medical texts on the subject, but I had a v traumatic forceps delivery and didn't ever have incontinence problems. I hope you can get this resolved soon.

So I'm just unlucky??

I had a scan yesterday & everything looked as it should be.

Having my 6 week check next week
