Activities after c section

It's 6 weeks since I had a c section and I have started to drive a little bit again and we've been a bit ahem active in the bedroom
I've found even though I'm taking it easy with things that I'm gettting pain in that area and it's a bit puffy afterwards. Advice from the Dr is useless. What did others do? I know people say it's tender for ages so I don't know if to carry on knowing it's going to take a while to heel or if it shouldn't hurt at all and I should be waiting. We live in a village so I'm going stir crazy!

Are you asking about the driving or the sex? Driving should be ok and shouldn't cause you pain.

As for sex, 6 weeks is still very early days. If it hurts then it's probably not a good idea to carry on. Maybe I'm too old and tired but I've got a 5 month old that I had by c section, and I still don't feel like having sex! At 6 weeks I couldn't even have contemplated it. Things were still settling down and still healing.

Mine felt tender for quite some time if I overdid it. I remember running 5 months after my EMCS and feeling a couple of twinges. Gym was ok though. Personally I found gentle walking better than driving because the drivers seat crunched up my waist.

Internal wounds take longer to heal so you still need to take care for a whole yet. It does settle in time though.

I felt fine to do everything at this stage and didn't have any tenderness or swelling. You need to listen to your body if you think you are overdoing it and just do what feels right.
