When does the C section pain end?!

Been 4 months and still have lots of pain round the scar, down my groin and under my tummy. Like bad pins and needles or jellyfish stings, GP says it's normal but I keep reading this can go on for a year?! If it makes a difference it was an emergency C section after a very difficult labour.

I've heard from others this can go on for a very long time even years.
My sister had a c section 3 years ago and still has these twinges which the Dr says are the nerve endings still repairing. She is still pretty numb in that area and some people never regain feeling. The cold weather change can make it troublesome too.

I have had two close together and after section section it took a few months.

I still have a numb feeling in and around scar area. But not pain. I really don't think you should have pain.

I have very bad ovulation pain that doubles me over and that worries me.

Could you go back to your gp?

Second section

I have a numb area and a very sensitive area and I hate wearing belts now. It's been four years.

Ok so it is a long term thing, at least I can factor that in with going back to work etc. I will mention that I'm still in pain when I see the doctor next but all I seem to get is 'that's normal!' I'm a church bell ringer (akin to weight lifting!) I was looking forward to going back to it after the birth but I think I'll have to stay out of the belfry too! Thanks so much for your help!
