Hair Loss 2nd time round!

Hi,
Following the birth of my DD, I suffered extreme postnatal hair loss. I ended up having to have my hair cut quite short and in a style that covered the baldness!
I gave birth to my DS 9 weeks ago and have noticed a few hairs coming out over the last couple of days. I would hate for this to be as awful as last time, however, I have read that if it happened first time around then it's likely to happen again.
Was just wondering if anyone has any experience of this? Was it as bad second time around?
The only thing different from last time is my mindset - I'm a lot happier/confident than first time and wonder if this will play a part in it?!!! (Or whether I'm just clutching at straws)!!!

I lost a lot of hair about 3/4 months after giving birth.

It's very common, some women notice it more than others depending on how thick their hair was to begin with.

It's not necessarily to do with stress (although having a positive mindset certainly won't hurt!), it's affected by both hormones and depletion of nutrient in the body after birth/breastfeeding (so I have been told by doctor).

There are hair supplements you can take and specific hair thickening products, Viviscal and Phillip Kinglsley are companies who specialise in products for hair loss.

IMO they did make a difference, but they are pricey.

Post natal hair loss tends to be temporary though and most people I know have just made sure they take their breast feeding supplements with Omega oils (the ones you can buy everywhere).

I lost loads of hair both times. Do much so that I'd have to pull it out of the plug hole when showering to let the water down :(
My new ds is 8 weeks so I'm waiting for it to happen again this time.
It would be nice if it didn't but experience tells me it's not looking good!
