Hi there im not really sure how to begin..I had my little girl 4 weeks ago and the birth was traumatic due to shoulder dystocia, which is never heard of until that day..my problem is I'm still in physical pain in my lower back and pelvis and also extremely emotionally flat...so much so that I feel I don't love my partner any more..has anyone else experienced this?..I'm planning on speaking to my health visitor when I can but it would be nice to not feel alone x

Aw bless you...sorry that you got no replies. How are you feeling now? Have you spoken to your health visitor?

for your physical symptoms ask your go to refer you to a women's health physiotherapist

speak to your HV about your low mood

has your baby's shoulder recovered ?

My eldest had SD which left him with erbs palsy. It is perfectly normal to feel the way you are feeling. It is such a huge shock and it takes time to process. It's a very traumatic event. I couldn't even talk about it for about 3 years without crying and shaking. I completely understand how you are feeling right now.
Talking to your hv is a very good idea. You could also go to your gp because you may benefit from medical help, particularly to discover the cause of your pain and treat it.
