Baiyu - if you don't mind me asking, how much (% wise) is the buyer looking to keep if you return the buggy?

Lucky2010 · 14/02/2010 19:47

cheeky bastards shouldn't be keeping anything back, they have sold you a faulty buggy. I feel your pain Baiyu.

monkeysmama · 15/02/2010 13:52

Just lost a really long post though probably saved the rest of you from my random ramblings.

Baiyu I am really angry for you. I haven't bought anything from Ebay for years but that is really out of order. I hope you can do something about it.

Dd woke up at 1 screaming and proceeded to vomit many times throughout the night in her bed, the spare bed, our bed and the bathroom. The washing machine has not stopped today and now I am feeling decidedly ropey. I am going to pop a another Peppa dvd on and try and steal a quick nap so hey to everyone else.

Morning all! off karting tonight with work, not really my thing but felt I had to get into the team spirit.

Lucky2010 · 16/02/2010 14:40

For those of you not on FB....

We took the rails off DD2's cot this morning. Bit of a supernanny episode for about half an hour, constantly putting her back to bed, but she has been quiet for an hour now!!

shonnomanom · 16/02/2010 17:16

Sorry to hear of your ebay problems Baiyu, hope your getting things sorted. Dp's workmate bought what he thought was a Wii on Ebay when they 1st came out, in actual fact he paid £300 for a photo of a Wii. I dont trust it myself. But then I wont even buy clothes online, Id rather be in the shop.

mm I hope your lo is feeling better. We had a episode of bedtime spewing on friday night, She slept right through afterwards and has been fine since.

lucky good luck with the rails being off!
After dd's spewing on friday night we had to put her in the spare sleepbag that is now too big in width but almost too short in length. Apart from the 1st night she wore it, she has managed to get it undone at least twice during the night since then. Needless to say its now in the charity bag. I was surprised that she just shouted for me during those nights rather than climb out, especially giving that when she wakes during the day she climbs out. Good sign for the future wishfull thinking maybe

Nothing much happening here apart from even more people announcing their pregnancy, nothing like putting the pressure on eh . Its a work in progress lol

Lucky2010 · 16/02/2010 20:38

Sho You might be lucky, DD1 never got out of her bed until she was well past 3 yrs old. We never told her she couldn't, she just wouldn't!!!

DD2 has gone to sleep in her bed tonight. DH had to put her back to bed 3 times, then DD1 got up to the loo and so DD2 got out of bed again. We then heard DD1 'herding' her back into bed....'come on DD1, back into bed, there's a good girl'....LOL!!!! So cute!!

Off to watch the Brits!

MM Hope your DD is better?

monkeysmama · 17/02/2010 07:49

Hey girls

What a few days! Took dd to dr Monday evening with high temperature and after waiting over an hour he told us to go to A&E ! I get very panicked by anything to do with her health and the fact he was a bit rude didn't help. When I told him I'd given her some porridge he rolled his eyes (helpful) and as I was telling him how many times she'd been sick he piped up with "and I bet you kept feeding her". Luckily dp had left work to come with me and told the dr not to speak to me like that.

We got to A&E and, thank our lucky stars, bumped into a close friend who is a dr there who took a look at her, said it is gastroentritus (spg?), gave us a prescription and told us to take her home. She hasn't been well but the medicine really cooled her down and she slept more or less constantly since she got ill. WShe's woken up much better this morning asking for food and shouting for Peppa. I have to do something about this Peppa Pig obsession. Not sure what...?

I on the other hand am knackered having sat watching over her all night for 3 nights and having done at least 11 lots of washing in two days. How glam is my life!

Hope all the other FMLOs are in good health.

Dd is talking more every day and I have no idea how she knows somethings. This morning she said "Peppa tooth out eating. Sleeping fairy coming. Pennies pillow"; a multilingual synopsis of the Tooth Fairy's visit to Peppa Pig (of course).

I am starting to think about nursery again. I think a few mornings a week would be really beneficial for her now. Is my dd the only one who doesn't go to a nursery/creche/nanny etc?

I can't wait for spring. I am so looking forward to having picnics and whole days spent in the park. We have a little park at the end of our road so I can take paints and stuff down there and get all the mess out of the house! I may even be able to drive by the summer so we can go to the forest and maybe even to the beach. C'mon sunshine!

Right, off to fold some washing . Have a good day everyone.

MM sorry to her about DD's sickness, pleased she's on the mend.

We have sunshine, off to watch DS1 ride his bike in circles round the local park.

Karting didn't happen last night, road closed on the way so got stuck in major traffic jam, we would've been too late. Wasn't that disappointed since I would've got home at gone 11 (I like to be in bed by 10!).

shonnomanom · 17/02/2010 10:15

mm dd is with me or my mum constant, and we go to playgroup once a week. Hope your lo is starting to feel better now.

We are having only child problems.
Dd wont share or play with anyone. When at playgroup she is constantly at me to play with her and refuses to play with the other kids. Dd is the only Only Child at playgroup.
Last week we were at a 5th birthday party, we only knew the birthday girl and her 3yo sister. Dd spent the whole party trying to latch on to the older girls and was getting really upset when they wouldnt stay with her.
Im taking her to see her slightly younger cousin this afternoon for some play time. Unfortunatly my sister is a 40minute drive away and as she doesnt drive we always go to her which means that dd never has to share her own toys iykwim

How long does this normally last? I also cant wait until it starts to warm up a bit so we can out to the park. Bring on the sunshine!!!

pipoca · 17/02/2010 14:41

Can't stop....
Tis Macaco with a new name.
MM DS doesn't go to nursery and we don't go to many playgroups either. He's going to nursery 5 mornings a week come spetember when he'll be 2 and a half. (it's subsidised and only across the road)

Hi to all, must run.

XX

harimosmummy · 17/02/2010 15:06

Hi Pipoca!!

Sho - one thing I do with Haribo now is bring one or two of his favorite toys with him when we go to other children's houses. Then he has a toy 'to share' if that makes sense.

MM - Haribo is only ever with me or with our nanny (two afternoons and one evening a week) but the nanny always looks after him in our house, so he never goes anywhere without me. As you know, we've had a few separation issues!!

Well, the sun is shining here!! We have been to marlow to feed the swans and have a charge around the park. Haribo wanted to go on the roundabout which meant Mimi and I had to go on too... I think Mimi felt a bit dizzy with all that turning!!

Sorry got to run. Hope everyone who has moved from cot to bed is getting on well... Haribo now sleeps in bed at night but in his cot during the day. He has a Stokke Sleepi so I am thinking of just taking on of the sides off it so he can continue napping in his cot but with a little more freedom and hoping he might sleep there at night too (he invariably sleeps half the night in his bed and half the night in mine at the moment)

Haribo and Mimi had their first argument last night - over which one got to sleep in the bed with me... whichever one got put somewhere else screamed their head off... ended up with Haribo in the bed and Mimi sleeping on me so that I could ake sure Haribo didn't roll on her!!

kids!! [MEH emoticion!]

HM x

Lucky2010 · 18/02/2010 10:10

MM hope DD is feeling better. How awful for you. My DD2 has never been to a nanny or nursery. As you know, DH has her when I am at work. I am a little concerned about how she will be when she does go to playgroup in Sept...

Another good night in the bed. Two fall outs early evening but she was so knackered after a day with Denny and her kids, she stayed fast asleep!!

fuzzypeach · 21/02/2010 17:19

Oh my goodness - just seen Baiyu's news!! Congratulations!! And dont worry, Shh on the FB front has been noted!!

Lucky2010 · 22/02/2010 19:51

FP. Nice to hear from you!! you've been very quiet lately? I hope all is OK with you.

DD2 now fine and happy in her bed . Next on my list is potty training in Easter Hols .

Very quiet on here this week?

harimosmummy · 23/02/2010 09:40

Haribo is now sleeping well in a bed

Lucky2010 · 23/02/2010 21:02

HM You do make me laugh!

I think I need to erase my bloody tick too...I jinxed it by posting on here! Tonight she has got out of bed 6 times. No noise or fuss, I just hear the door then I find her at the top of the stairs hugging her big bear that's as big as her. It's unbelievably cute, and very hard to 'place her' back to bed without a massive cuddle.

BaconWheatCrunchies · 25/02/2010 06:12

Had a sleepless one, so morning all!

No ticks in this house. Grobag staying firmly on (DS2 too lazy to try to climb out of cot), so he'll be in a bed probably like his big bro in about a year. Same goes for the potty. Although he is much more aware of things having his big brother.

DS1 in the shower after swimming today 'I need a wee'. I was in there naked with DS2 also, so couldn't be arsed to take him to the loo, I tried to quietly say just take off your shorts and do it in the shower. DS2 starts shouting 'wee wee' lots . And then when I was getting changed he started shouting it again, I couldn't work out if he had done one himself on the floor. So I had to make a big show of mopping up what I think was water, just it case he had. His feet weren't wet so I think he was just having a shout for the sake of it.

We've been waiting for the architect to get back in touch to come and measure to do some drawings and start really planning what we can do with the house. But 2 weeks on and we've heard nothing, it was me that 1st contacted but since it's DH's business he was to be contacted and I thought he could then be in charge. But it's left me chasing DH to chase architect . I hate being chief organiser, but I think that does seem to be the women's job?

Was DH's birthday on Tuesday, I got home from work to find him trying to fix his unit (bit that drills work from) so he was a very stressed bunny and didn't open his pressies until lunch time yesterday, and cut his cake. DS1 thinks he had 2 birthdays and is still wondering when he's going to have his party!

It's mine next week and my parents are down to look after the boys when we're on a course so hopefully we'll get some free babysitting. I might even get to the cinema .

Baiyu hope your bump is doing well, not long til your job starts, did you sort the childcare.

MM was it you going to get your teeth sorted, did you?

FP what's the job situation.

Pipocacute new name, but I still think I'm going to get the a and o the wrong way round.

Hope the rest of you are ok. Thursday today we can start thinking of the weekend

baiyu · 25/02/2010 20:20

Hello all, apologies have been super knackered and hiding from the world a bit the last few weeks, all fine though. Looking forward to being out the first trimester and hopefully feeling a a bit better and telling people! (I'm 9 weeks now)

Big tick for bed sleeping here, DS in grobag in bed so he can get out and waddle to the door but doesn't bother, if he's having a whinge he does it in bed then goes back to sleep, result! Good luck to those trying to get LOs to stay put! HM hope youve got a big bed!

BWC nursery place sorted thanks, nervous but I like the place so feel better about it. Start date got pushed back to 25th March which is a bit annoying but not much I can do. So I'll be about 13 weeks when I start... Hmm.

Hm Just messaged you.

Feeling rough this evening, thanks for making me laugh with your wee stories everyone!

shonnomanom · 25/02/2010 22:20

hi-de-ho ladies

No ticks here at all. Dd climbs in/out of her cot during the day but doesnt attempt it at night in her bag. She still does circuits round the cot in her sleep, she would probably end up underneath the bed.
Speaking of which, she has started to climb under tables, chairs etc rather than walking around them.

We had my niece over night on Tuesday and then took her to playgroup on Wednesday morning. Was alot more successfull than I thought it would be. Even the part where I took the 2 girls to work Tues afternoon. Although I dont think I could handle that everyday, 2 1yo's and 2 7yo's running about the house for 3 hours aarrgghh

Yet another pregnancy announcement here. This time its my bff from high school, they'v been trying for a while so im well chuffed for them.

My new Brownie pack starts on Tuesday. Im Soo unbelievably(sp?) nervous about this, im was more relaxed about giving birth! I feel as everyone in the County is watching to see if/how badly we mess up. As Brown Owl that 'we' is actually me. EEK!

Hope everyone is well and their Lo's are behaving
Sho x

BaconWheatCrunchies · 26/02/2010 07:13

Sho good luck Brown Owl!

harimosmummy · 26/02/2010 07:41

sho Good luck from us too!!

dib dib dib... or whatever it is brownies say.

What is it brownies say?

I am feeling a bit today. Had a great day planned - to take kids to Windsor for a bus ride and for lnch with a friend, but DH was taken to hospital yesterday. I'm guessing a suspected HA (thankfully it wasn't) but then, because of how much he flies - he's due out in LA on Monday - they had to check for DVT too. I'm hoping they will let him fly home today. He got mad with me last night and then turned his phone off so i have hardly slept.

monkeysmama · 26/02/2010 08:34

Hey girls

Just back from a few days up north with mum and dd. It was freezing but I enjoy the peace sometimes. I love London but at times the slog of living in a big city gets stressful. I feel like I spend half my life dragging the pram on and off public transport. Dd touched sand for the first time that she remembers and was fascinated by it. She filled one of her pockets with it to bring back for her daddy. I took a brilliant photo of her on the beach - my mum had written her name in the sand and she grabbed the stick and was bending down "writing" so it looks like she's just written her own name.

HM hope you're alright - sounds a bit dh switching off his phone when you're at home with 2 LOs.

I am going to the movies with my sis tonight and am stupidly excited. It's many months since I went out on my own. Let's just hope dp can manage to get home from work in time .

Quick question - why did you decide to put you LOs in a bed now? It sounds a bit stupid but I've not even thought about it and wonder if I need to? Dd is sleeping through the night now from 7-630 but is still happy in her cot I think. I have a latent fear that I am not doing the things I should be with her.

Baiyu good to hear you're doing well.

BWW yes, I a the teeth woman. I've been 3 times but still have a lot of work to be done .

We've got a busy weekend with parties and friends visiting. Hope you all have a good one.

MM

shonnomanom · 26/02/2010 10:42

oh HM that doesnt sound too good, hope everything is ok.
Is it not the Boys Brigade that says Dib Dib Dib? In Guiding they have the 3finger salute but they dont say anything, well apart from their Promise when they start. We'r starting with 8 girls and will have approx 22 by January. That is including 2 sets of indentical twins! The 1st set of twins have slightly different hair colour but the other set are a complete mirror image, apparently their parents even get confused!

MM I love being by the sea, and last year dd loved the sand. Hopefully we'l get some decent weather this Easter hols and we'l get over to the coast. Sounds like it is a great picture.

I miss going to the cinema pre dd we used to go nearly every week and usually at the drop of a hat as well. Im looking forward til she's old enough to come with.

Sho x
