Gift voucher for newborn, which one would you like?

My DN has just had a baby girl. I am planning to send her a gift voucher, but I am so out of touch with where to get lovely things for newborns or a new mum! What shop would you love to get a gift voucher? For context, I was going to give £50. Thank you if you take the time to answer this post. I know the newborn time can be hard work!

I've heard good things about Cook vouchers! I think I'd like John Lewis personally, the first things I bought myself post partum were a nice face wash and a pram cup holder thing

We got vouchers for Next, argos and boots when our little boy was born best gifts ever. We used them to buy buts and pieces when we needed them. Great idea 😃

Wow, my spelling in the last message is something else....apologies! It's been a long day

I always add a Deliveroo voucher, a take away dinner or lunch when you just do not have the energy or time or cannot get to the shops is a life saver and it's always so well received!

I once received a box of brownies on day 4 postpartum and cried with joy. Which was obviously not a hormonal response at all Grin

I got John Lewis and was delighted.

Such great ideas! Thank-you. I forgot how hard it is to cook a meal and juggle everything else.
John Lewis vouchers were always a great, but wasn’t sure if they were still good.

How about a Love2Shop voucher, they can be used at loads of different places so they can choose themselves where to spend it?

We got some of these and also John Lewis, Next and JustEat. All very gratefully received!

M&S can be used on baby clothes, blankets, ready meals etc so versatile.

CaribbeanCupcake · 01/11/2024 22:47

I've got a little girl and my favourite shop to buy her clothes in is Next, the clothes are beautiful 🩷

John Lewis if they are fairly financially stable and can afford to use it for a treat. If they are possibly a bit harder up then somewhere with a lower price point. Love to shop voucher/one4all voucher or Amazon,

Good shout. Context of situation is a factor. I think they are doing okay financially, as recently bought a 3 bed house in the Midlands. They are not rolling in money, but seem to be okay.

Cook vouchers or similar! The food vouchers were the best gifts we got.

FlakyAquaQuoter · 02/11/2024 08:35

Another vote for cook! My brother got my cook vouchers after the birth of my daughter and honestly, having nice cooked meals ready to heat from the freezer was an absolute Joy! You feel like you want all the good food, but let's face it, no one's up to cooking it.
