3 month old sleep issues

My bub is now 3 months old and she's starting to get into a routine at night which is good!

However, she will have a couple of good nights where she sleeps from 9-5.30 and then all of a sudden she won't sleep properly the next night.

Last night, for example, I was getting so stressed and angry because she wasn't crying but she was fussing without her dummy, and every time I gave her her dummy she'd either just chew it which will pop out unless I held it, or she'd spit it out straight away, this happened almost all night. I know I shouldn't get angry but I was exhausted. My husband took her so I could sleep.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do?

Yes. She’s only 3 months. Of course her sleep will be all over the place so you need to have realistic expectations. You’re actually very fortunate that she’s slept 9-5 at her age already.

Sleep deprivation is tough so work with your husband to find a way to ensure you get some rest whilst he watches baby.

Thank you! I just wasn't sure if it was a normal thing for her to do so well one night and then not so good the next.

Thank you for you advice

Yeah it sounds very normal, but she’s doing really well to even start having good nights full stop at 3 months. Even now at 18 months my little one can have a good run of sleep for about 2-3 weeks and then either teething or an illness happens and we have an awful week where no one sleeps. I’ve had to try and learn to roll with it, even though in the moment you’re shattered!

That's absolutely normal behaviour.

Just wait till they start teething...
