That's lovely SOL - I also would like to meet everyone really! One day perhaps - and sooner than that for those in the North - I will be coming up with further meet-up thoughts shortly

Eddas - that's awful - I presume you've been medically examined - if not GO NOW!

Feeling ok thanks Bit sore. O phoned my doctors who said to go straight to a&e so i've been in there for 3-4 hours which was lovely But all is well(ish) doctor said it'd probably get worse over the next few days but was nothing serious. DD's been very worried. She cried when she saw the car(bless) I said they might not be able to fix it and we might have to by a new car. She and said we should get a

pink one not sure dh would approve

i was a bit oooggs the woman got out(as did I) and said are you ok, there's me going 'not really' and sucking in the tears. Am a stupid arse for crying when I really don't want to but can't help it The man I hit was lovely. Looked over my car(by FAR the worst in terms of damage) and said it looked ok and followed me round the corner to check it when running. Then told me it wasn't me fault and he'd back me up if I needed it Probably thought I wasn't very old maybe even driving my mum's car

sorry being VERY self absorbed, right I did read, and

Hello to those awol for far to long, nice to see you all

CD, would love the letter, I like mail, lol. Will email you tomorrow

SOl, hope tomorrow goes ok, will be a long one for you. It's a PITA going back to work. Gets right in the way of life

Eddas - at our car accident. Hope you're ok and thank god the kids weren't there.

Liath - day with sil sounds fab

NL - thats horrid children can be so nasty cant they. And even though it sounds like its not much it really does make you mad.

MJ, hope your trip to London goes well. I do live in London but confess that though I've spent a lot of time in that area I wouldn't know which places are nicest to eat in - I tend to go for places like a local Turkish restaurant within walking distance of home, or fast food. Is there a bit of mumsnet where people can help you with "local knowledge" of that kind?

I have been sort of away though online most days, but for less time than when I'm home. We were staying with relatives while the kitchen was put in and the computer there is in a separate room, not one where I can keep an eye on Danny. Saying that, Danny needs more than an eye on him in waking hours atm.

NL, sorry to hear your daughter's being teased.

oh eddas... I have had 2 car accidents (neither one my fault!) one bad and one not so bad. So glad the children weren't with you. You will probably ache really badly tomorrow!
Try not to worry though. You can replace a car, and you are ok, thats the main thing!

Morning
As you can see George is no longer sleeping well. We've been up for 50 minutes already. am hoping he'll want to go back to bed about 7ish.

Eddas hope you are feeling ok today after your accident. LOL at pink car I have a friend (33) who drives a barbie pink VW beetle. Her DD (5) loves it and she says little girls often stare open-mouthed when she drives past.

NL for DD being bullied. Children can be very cruel. It's a good thing that she is letting you know what is going on now. Things only tend to escalate when kept secret.

Ok have now forgotten what else I was going to say. Too early.

Morning from an achey eddas DS was a nightmare last night, from about 3 he was snuffly. Not awake but whingy. Poor little thing, not only does he have the chicken pox, he has a runny nose, little cough and a very sore bum. Partly the pox but also he gets sore anyway and as i'm not using cream atm i think he may keep getting sore

Cazboldy, I've now had 3 accidents. One was similar to yesterday hit by another car from behind and i hit the one in front. But damage was only slight(scratches on bumper) the other one was in ice and i hit a bus I don't blame myself because it was the ice patch that made me hit the bus, BUT bizarly it was nearly the exact place pf my accident yesterday That road does not like me and it was a bus at the centre yesterday too Ho hum. Like you all say could've been worse. Will take some pics when dd is at preschool. Looks nice!!

I forgot to say yesterday, oooggs, so so pleased on the sleep front. How did it go last night?

NL, kids are so cruel. Hope dd is ok

Oh Eddas hope you and DS can get some rest today.

DH swapped places with me at 6.15 and brought G back to me bed when he left for work at 6.50. He slept until 8.15 so I don't feel too bad. Going to try and give him some porridge now.

Hope you all have good/better days today

Morning.

Eddas, hope the stiffness wears off and LOL at the pink car .

NL, awful for dd. I was bullied at school for being a "swot", bloody kids can be so horrible. I was thinking of starting dd doing some kind of martial art when she's a bit older - not so she can duff up any bullies necessarily but to give her self confidence.

Leaky - sorry G is going through an insomniac phase, seems to be catching.

SOL - it's be lovely to all meet up wouln't it, everyone's been so supportive.

Bollocks - it was a fluke just to let me know what sleep I had been missing!!!!

Erin did the same, woke 4.30am for a feed then back to sleep, but the boys.........

Jack awake 1.30am - 3.45am eventually had medised & milk (teeth) James joined us at 3.30am and ended up in my bed cos I was too tired to argue settle him in his own bed.

Back again!

OMFG the underwire in my bra has just snapped Another mum at the school asked me yesterday if I was still 'feeding' D and i said yes, she said 'well you've still got the big boobs, mine have got back down again'! They're not that big. I dont think

Twinkle - lovely to see you back

SOL - glad K is eating better.

Nutty and KHIN - glad meet up went um...is 'well' the word Glad you had fun anyway

Eddas - did you see top gear where richard hammond had to test drive a pink micra convertible and he got out and abandoned it halfway through

Caz - no christenings here for any of them and I was never christened [heathen] Not religious and know alot of other people who arent at all and sit in church and make a whole load of promises they wont keep and statements they dont believe in for the sake of a few pressies and a party. I think it demeans it for those who it really does mean something to. Not thinking of anyone in particular SIL
Would have loved naming ceremonies but too expensive and I'm too disorganised!

Oooggs sorry bout the bad night Mine was pretty bad too, couldnt get him to sleep till half 11 and that was after half hour of controlled crying and then he woke at 3.40 and fed on and off from then. But must be so much harder for you with with 3 of them conspiring against you not sleeping.

Had D weighed yesterday and the little porker is now 16lb 6.5 In 6 weeks he's gone from being a long way off the bottom of the charts to the 9th line!! DD and DS1 did exactly the same thing and between 6 and 8 months suddenly turned into little chubbas despite me having weaned both of them at 4 months.

Have decided to leave school job as I need more hours and cant find anything else that fits in with it and dont want to have to suddenly drop school in it when I find another job so will tell them now I will work till xmas then stop. So frantic job searching begins again!

On plus side my friend who is a childminder says she may be able to have D which would be fab as I think she's lovely and would feel so much happier leaving him with someone I know.

I think thats a long enough post for now!

Mammyjo - hmm, trying to think. I am quite a pub sort of girl so used to go to the Lamb and Flag (Rose Street) quite a lot and they do quite nice food. Or you could try Sofra on Tavistock Street which has middle eastern food. Which Theatre are you going to?

Morning all. Bramshott, I am going to the Adelphi Theatre. I have no idea where that is in relation to anything, it just looked close to Covent Garden on a map! I did start another thread, got a couple of suggestions for nice french restaurants which look good, but dh not sure whether he likes french food Pub is our sort of thing tbh as long as the food is good!

Leaky and oooggs, sorry the sleeping is a nightmare. Really dont know what to suggest. I am having a good phase with F at the moment, but I know things can change so quickly.

NL, sorry to hear about dd. Ds was getting called fat in school recently. I spoke to the teacher about it and it does seem to have settled down again now. Its a good thing that she told you, at least you can try and sort it out.

Have emptied the car of its worldy goods, or should I say rubbish. how dirty, bleugh

I can get new carseats for the dc's now though, yipee, and also a new pushchair. As long as the lady admits liability. Think it's gonna cost her insurance company as the man i went into phoned to say he has whiplash too.

Oooggs, sorry to hear your sleeping dc's was shortlived, have some more {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{sleep vibes}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Firstly... my secret santa... THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!! What a treat to have posh hair stuff! But how did you know my hair was like a sack of straw on my head desperately needing attention... And Thorntons too! Loved the icing writing message v v funny! My claim to fame is that I used to be the cleaner at Mr&Mrs Thorntons! Their helicopter used to land on the lawn and blow leaves back through the door onto my nicely hoovered floor

Well, we had a great weekend, but soooo MANIC! Saturday night was my birthday party. With lots of people eating curry and drinking wine in every available space of my house (and a few in a gazebo outside too!). My lovely friend did me the most amazing* birthday cake I've ever seen and it has gone down in birthday cake legend! It was a massive choc one with a tall band of chocolate round the edge that she filled with berries on top! I will post a pick when I've uploaded them as that explaination just doesn't do it justice!!

And then on sunday we cooked a 3 course meal for about 70 people at church before T's thanksgiving service !! Mad a bager I think the phrase is! It was lovely though. The food was great and I hope don't think we poisened anyone!! And the service was really special. Some friends lead the singing which was amazing and the God parents read a lovely children's bible story type thing, which I'd scanned and we projected the pictures up on a big screen on the wall!

T was hyper all weekend. It was complete overload! But he coped really well. I have enough leftover cake to feel a small country.

I'm sooo tired now. And last night I stayed up until 1am writing thank you cards. Then T decided it was the night to wake up 2-6am! crapBrilliant. Dh escaped to the spare room...

Okay, baby squalking, back in a min xx

Nice to be back! I'm mass-catered/party planned out and all I want to do is veg out! Thank goodness we're not having people over Christmas
