Breastfeeding after c section

Hello. I'm really out here for some help advice and and tips.
I really want to breastfeed my son. He was born via c section Friday.
He isn't getting enough milk. He is crying a lot most of them time. The midwife also said he isn't getting enough as he doesn't have enough wet nappies.
I don't want to give up. Tomorrow I have to go see the midwife for a check.
My colostrum has gone and I have milk but it just doesn't flow much. It's not a lot. I expressed it and get 3 ml which I syringe feed from today. When does milk come properly.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

It will vary in everyone. You need to do lots of skin to skin with your baby, so get the heating cranked up and a blanket around you both.

What you express isn't necessarily what baby is getting, I found I could either express loads or feed well, and not both.

Baby also needs to be on you as much as possible, even if they aren't getting much, it's basically them placing an order for your body to react to in a day or so. But also remember they really don't need much to fill their little belly in the first weeks.

If that's all getting too much, you could try combo feeding?

@Christmadtree
Thank you for you reply. Is it too late to start it now. I haven't really done much at all. Please tell me

No I don't think you'll be too late but it will take a lot of work to get your milk up and establish BF. Is the baby latching OK?

I'm not an expert but it took me a good 3 weeks of skin to skin and trying the baby on me/expressing every 2-3 hours before I got a decent milk supply.
