... get your shit together?

First baby, he will be 4 weeks on Monday and I love him to bits!

Some days I feel like I've got it all under control and then other days it's like someone has pressed the reset button lol and I look around and everything is chaotic 🙈. So, just out of curiosity... will I ever get my shit together or is this it now haha

I'm only just starting to get my shit together! My son is 7 weeks old, and to be fair he's a fairly easy baby and I have a tiny house so I think that's the only reason why things are starting to get better haha! Don't worry about it though, things will fall into place in time :)

Yeah, I'm not worried about it... and I think mine has been fairly straight forward too. They have so much stuff, it seems to be everywhere 😆 totally wouldn't change anything now though

I think around the 12 week mark I started thinking “this might actually be long-term sustainable, I think I can possibly make a go of this!”.
It was also this point that I looked around and realised my house was an absolute tip from the 12 weeks of ‘survival’ we’d just been through! And at that point doing a bit of dusting did feel do-able.
It all falls together eventually!

First time around I felt noticeably more in control around 6 to 8wks then again around 20wks.
2nd time around was faster. Then the school holidays landed and I lost my shit for 2 months.

You’ll get there! It’s still very early days so don’t put pressure on yourself.

For me, it was around the 3 month mark. But then from 1-2.5 years it went downhill again trying to juggle work with house stuff with a toddler. Just coming out the other side now as DD has started being able to look after herself more (deals with wees herself, dresses herself, can open boxes herself to get jigsaw puzzles out etc.) so I have a little more time when we’re at home together to keep on top of the house chaos.
