How old was your little ones when 1) you left them for work
2) you left them for a evening out
3) you left them overnight?

  1. 4 months (but my work was ad hoc and only for 3-4 hours at a time. DD then started regular childcare with a childminder for two short days a week at 8 months)

  2. I can't remember precisely but around the 3 months mark

  3. she was 12m old

I probably would have left her sooner for an evening out and overnight if I wasn't a single parent (ie, if there was a capable willing father on the scene I would have been happy to leave her earlier, but it involved organising family to babysit)

  1. I’m working from home for DH so DS will be with me
  2. 6 weeks for our first wedding anniversary
  3. 6 weeks as above I also had a weekend away with the girls when he was 11 months old. I don’t know many mothers that would be comfortable with this but he was happy with his daddy!

  1. 10months
  2. We went for lunch when he was 3months
  3. I left him with DH at about 10months and went away for two nights, we have never both left him though and he's 13 months. But we don't have family close by and I won't pay for an overnight, I would be happy to leave him now though as he sleeps well.
