Hey guys! Thought I'd start a new page for everyone to join and share our pain and pleasures of having a new baby. I've added a lot of people in from the other groups but sorry if I forgot anyone!
And again congratulations on your beautiful babies!

Anyone's little one sleeping through yet? Wondering how long I have to wait 😂
Hope everyone's ok x

Oh no, that must be horrible @firsttimemumma123. It's not something we've had to deal with yet. How is she doing now?

That's good to know for when it inevitably hits us @39Suzy. I'm glad your LO is over it now.

I wish @Blgb! Last night she slept for 3hrs 30, 2hrs and then 3hrs, with an hour of feeding and putting between each stretch. I felt like I'd won the jackpot! 😂

Blgb · 24/05/2019 22:20

@ChaosMoon haha my LO does about the same in 3/2.5 hour stretches. I feel like I'm breaking all the rules thou, he's propped up in the basket as he won't sleep flat and tonight he's on his side! 🙄 #terribleparent

ChaosMoon · 25/05/2019 10:16

Last night started with a couple of 2-3hr stretches but then we were up every hour. 😴 You're not a terrible parent. I think we all break a rule or two. DD slept in her side for weeks. We'd put her down flat and she'd just roll!

girlsname · 25/05/2019 10:20

@Blgb Sleepinng through?! My middle girl is 22 months and is still not sleeping through 😂. My eldest who was a great sleeper as a baby started sleeping through at 10 months...you may have a while to go :).

Blgb · 25/05/2019 17:50

@girlsname haha I guessed it would be a while, wishful thinking!
@ChaosMoon we had a good night last night, down for 4 hours! Then 2.5, then he did another 1.5 and didn't get me up until 9! I know I have to get up just wish there was more of a pattern 😂

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well! My little guy is 6 weeks on Saturday! Time flies! I'm still just so relieved I'm not pregnant ☺️
We all go to sleep around 8:30pm because we are exhausted and Max normally wakes up first between 1-2:30am which is amazing, but then after that he sometimes wakes up every hour or could do 2/3 hour stretches, depends on whether or not he needs a poo.....!!! We are all awake again at around 5:30am because of my 22 month old..... although my sweet husband normally sees to my oldest and let's me and the baby sleep till 6:30am! So not too bad

ChaosMoon · 01/06/2019 09:12

How have you achieved this marvel @desertmama1? I'm getting a couple of 3 hour stretches a night but I think I could be doing more to help her stay down for longer.

Blgb · 01/06/2019 09:20

Not one to brag (haha) but just been away for a few days and Rhian did 9.45-5 one of the nights I jumped out of bed when I saw the time but it's ok he was still breathing 😂 must have been all the sea air!
Deffo didn't last long thou as had me up at 2.30 again last night. I feel that he's deffo settling a bit now thou so hopefully once I can fill him he will sleep until "morning"

desertmama1 · 01/06/2019 11:37

@ChaosMoon I have no idea! He's a big baby and likes his sleep. I'm so scared his sleeping patterns will change! He's generally quite awake late afternoon / early evening time and then is just pretty exhausted by bedtime. We also have a little bit of a pre bedtime routine which we have been sticking to so that might help as well.

Creas35 · 01/06/2019 22:08

Hi, I have a 5 wk old DD so jumping on thread!! So hot tonight so can’t sleep but as soon as i do she will wake up for feed. Some nights it’s 3 hours later but feels like 3 minutes!! Good Sleep is becoming a distant memory!

Blgb · 02/06/2019 09:33

@Creas35 I was having this problem but put mine on hungry baby milk during the night and last night for example he did 9-3.30 then 4-7.30 seems to have made a difference to me. Can't help if your breastfeeding thou sorry!

Hi @Blgb add me to the group too

Anybody with a newborn, a preschooler and a 6 yr old. Finding my 3 troopers old unmanageable and lack of 😴

Springbuds · 02/06/2019 10:17

3 yr old*

girlsname · 04/06/2019 11:27

@Springbuds I have a 3 1/2 year old and a 22
month old...it's a mammoth juggle eh!

Tootyfrooty35 · 04/06/2019 19:51

@springbuds I have an 8wo, almost 3yo and a 4.5yo and my head spins some days 😂 I honestly find getting out every day, pretty much all day is a must. Keeps us all happy. Baby in sling. Mine are with me all the time too, no nursery etc so I have to keep sane lol

ChaosMoon · 07/06/2019 03:59

@Springbuds @girlsname @Tootyfrooty35 you are all heroes.i just have DD and she keeps me on my toes and has me exhausted all by herself!

So least night she slept for an unbelievable 7 hours 50!!!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 And then today she had her jabs. It was so awful at the time, but she actually calmed down really quickly afterwards. And she's just done over 4 hours, which, if you ignore last night, is really good for her.

Just don't forget the Calpol when you go for your DC's ladies. That stuff is worth it's weight in gold. I also really valued having someone with me, just to be another pair of hands afterwards, so I could give all my attention to DD and they could put away he red book, sort out the pram, etc. (She's wanted to be carried ever since, but I'm ok with the extra cuddles!)

girlsname · 08/06/2019 03:42

@Springbuds blah yes I totally get that, I have to stay out of the house as long as possible too otherwise I go insane! I usually drive around as long as my 3 year old can handle to get miss 22 month old to sleep as well 😂. My 3 year old is in preschool twice a week but other than that they are with me all week, and I live in Australia with no family support so it's quite relentless at the moment!

girlsname · 08/06/2019 03:44

@ChaosMoon yay for such a long sleep, fingers crossed that continues! Jabs are horrible eh, we've got ours next week 😬

girlsname · 08/06/2019 03:44

Sorry @Tootyfrooty35 I think I was replying to you too in that last message about staying out of the house! :)

Blgb · 09/06/2019 10:19

Morning ladies hope we're all ok. My LO slept out for the first time last night and I cried when he left 😂 but felt relieved/nervous/stressed and happy all at the same time. motherhood is all sorts of crazy emotions 🤷‍♀️
Just wondering how long it usually takes for the monthly visitor to return as he's 7 weeks today and still nothing?

OP posts:
ChaosMoon · 13/06/2019 11:26

That was brave @Blgb! Who had him? And did he have a good night?

We had the godparents over for bath and bed time last night so they can get a feel for the routine. Need to get her a bit more familiar with the bottle though. We've gotten out of the habit of giving her one so I fear she may turn her nose up.

Blgb · 13/06/2019 12:32

@ChaosMoon he went to my parents so I could go out for a friends birthday as DP was working. He didn't do too bad, took some settling but did a good 6 hours once he went down which wasn't bad considering different surroundings and bed.
He's been bottle fed since the beginning so I'm lucky in that way that he doesn't depend on me in that way, he's happy aslong as someone's feeding him! 😂

Hi all, can I join?

My LO is 8 weeks and I also have a 27 month old.

Is there a fb or WhatsApp group going?

I am on my knees with exhaustion. LO has had an unsettled start - silent reflux, TT snipped twice, circumcision which had a complication and more recently a hospital admission for viral meningitis. Please tell me it gets better 😬😬😬😬 I'm trying to get him in some sort of routine but with the feeding issues his intake is erratic. He's often catnapping and waking up crying, burping and then going back to sleep. Anyone else's LO struggling with wind?

He's on neocate milk (started from birth due to issues with my older dc) and 10mg omeprazole.
