Anyone got a recommendation?

I would never give a dummy to a child so cannot help.

HerRoyalFattyness · 10/03/2019 21:53

percheron67 Hmm helpful.

OP I have no recommendations as i never used dummy clips, but if you do find one please make sure it isn't blinged or beaded in any way as these can be dangerous.
I believe they also need to be a set length.

percheron is a nobber for replying so 'helpfully'

I hated dummies but gave one to my refluxy baby as it helped her settle. Who cares.

I bought a dummy lanyard clip on Amazon. Totally plain but clips it to her top when we're out and about so we don't lose it. Brilliant. Cost about a quid.

Love them. No plastic clips for them to put in their mouths. Other end can attach to pram strap, bib, or the shoulder strap of a sleeping bag.

@percheron67 you wanker !

My refluxing boy had a dummy ...the other two didn't! Our boy is severely disabled....we found out! Aged 9 he still loves his dummy...he's fed via Gastrostomy so very little orally. We've never ever used a dummy clip !!!!
They cost about £2 each .....fingers crossed you'll wean off before they throw ....my DS loves his too much to chuck!

This is a really useful article on what to look out for to make sure they're safe.

I would say don't buy one one from ebay/facebook/amazon etc as they are not likely to be made to the correct safety standards

SquigglySquaw · 10/03/2019 22:33

They're expensive but I have a MAM one because I use their dummies. Not that you have to but they are good😊

Turnonyohrblue · 10/03/2019 22:37

I never found one I really liked, that felt safe, and that was easy to clean. Agree the MAM ones are easy to use though.
