June Babies - how are we getting on?

Hello Juners! My DD was born on the 24th, can't believe how quickly it's gone!

Birth: C-section at 39+4
Weight: 9lbs 6oz at birth
Feeding: Formula (HiPP - couldn't breastfeed for various reason but expressed BM until 3 months)

How are your DC sleeping, eating, etc? My DD hates tummy time and is struggling to hold her head up at all Sad However she takes 6oz 3-4 hourly and is constantly happy / smiling. So that's a bonus! She had some issues with constipation but after a course of laxatives from the doctor, seems to be pooing normally again (never been so invested in someone's poo before Grin) Would be lovely to chat to other June mums!

I spoke to the health visitor yesterday at the weigh clinic and she suggested I don't bother with formula at night for a very similar reason to what you have said - at least when he wakes up in the night at the moment he's very easy to settle back down with a breastfeed.

And yes we've had the 4 month sleep regression over here! It came a little early. It was horrendous. So much so that I actually started to dislike my baby which made me sad and more frustrated, but I think sleep deprivation got the better of me. He's never been a good sleeper and it somehow got worse.

HOWEVER - yesterday night he slept for 8 hours straight!! I cried tears of joy in the morning! And last night he did 6 hours. I have no idea what I'm doing to make this happen but I pray it continues.

Maybe your little one will miss the sleep regression @Embracethechaos? Or if it does happen hopefully it only lasts a couple of weeks like it did for us.

Hi, how's everyone doing? Enjoying the joys of solid food? I'm loving the weaning process, my lo loves food

Ooh I missed this thread! DS Was born on June 21st and is the love of my life!

He's loving food, currently on 2 meals a day and soon to up to 3
He also sits well by himself and seems to lead something new every day 😍

Bumping this. How is everyone getting on?
My little boy was born on 27th June. He's getting really good at standing up but not walking yet. Only just getting the hang of pureed food (he was gagging on everything until a few weeks ago).

I need help. Our stunning daughter was born yesterday (in the hospital car park but that's another thread 😂) and she is taking about half an oz of milk an hour and pretty much throwing it back up with her wind. She won't sleep for longer than 10 mins at a time either therefore I am really running on empty now, not one minute of sleep the whole of last night. I just don't know what to do 😔

GardenGnomes · 20/06/2019 08:17

Hi @broken1982 have you tried feeding her whilst she's upright?
She's probably not bring up her whole feed, it always looks like more than it is but mention it to your midwife when you see them.
She's also probably cluster feeding which is so so hard but it will get easier and she will sleep for longer!
