Thoughts and prayers for Vio and baby James

I'm hoping that you kind ladies will be able to offer some kindness;

Vio is a member of MN, posting mainly on the bumps north of the border thread and also due in April. She had her little boy 2 weeks ago, sadly he has been born with a genetic skin condition called EB. Many of you may have seen a channel 4 documentary a few years back about a man named Johnny from the north east who also suffered with this.

Vio is being extremely strong and quite honest I am in awe of her.

I'm sure Vio, her husband and baby James would appreciate any thoughts and prayers from you at this difficult time.

You can see her post here

Also, you can visit the DEBRA website here

Many thanks

GMM

Vio, my heart goes out to you and your family and your darling baby boy in your time of need, i knoww fort hand how your life gets turned upside dowwn when your child is diagnosed with a bad illness, i understand how all your plans and hopes for the future fade.
I hope you are getting the support and help you need and i hoe once it has sunk in and you have learned to deal with everything you can enjoy your baby as you thought you would be able to.
Hugs and thought with you all. x

Vio, things must be so tough for you right now. I hope that things get more manageable for you as you get used to dealing with his condition and needs.
So many people are thinking of you and wishing strength for you and James.

xx

Vio, Just read your post and wanted to say both congratulations on James's birth and also that I am so sorry he has EB. It must be so terribly hard for you all. I'm sure that treatment will help ease things for him, and in the meantime, take care of yourself and your little one. xxx

hey ladies.

Weeonion has been in touch with DEBRA and they have suggested some ways of helping:

there is a simple way we could help them - by donating old cds to sell.

S.K.I.P. Rocks: 16 June
East Lothian based Special Kids In Play (S.K.I.P.) have organised music and dance workshops for local children including families with EB. DebRA has been invited along to raise funds and awareness on Saturday 16th June 2007 at Meadowmill Sports Centre, Prestonpans.

If you would like to donate any unwanted, good quality CD?s to be sold at this fundraising event, please send them by 8th June 2007 to:

Rita Chapman

Health & Social Care Administrative Assistant
DebRARex House
103 Bothwell Road
HAMILTON
ML3 0DW

For more information, please contact Rita Chapman on 01698 477777 or email [email protected].

thanks
