5 1/2 month old waking every 2 hours - HELP!

Hi ladies, my DD used to sleep for 7 hour stretches in early part of night and but when the 4 month sleep regression hit, we hit a wall.

Dd is EBF and we have gone from settling quickly to feeding to sleep and using a dummy; all just to try and get her to sleep. She is possibly teething as lots of dribbles (although no sign of teeth) and whilst she sometimes feed during the night, it is usually just for comfort.

This has been going on for several weeks and I am exhausted. I know we will be introducing solids soon as well as trying to move her into own room so I worry about the big changes for her ahead. Keen to crack the sleep before then. Not keen on CIO but frankly at this stage, am considering.

Should I sleep train? Should I remove one prop at a time? Where do I start?

This was my son at 5.5months too and it was awful. It was during the summer and everyone I asked said he was waking so often because it was hot and he was thirsty. I wish I hadn't listened! I basically just didn't know how to get back to sleep without feeding so you might want to try battling that one first. My DS is now 11 months and has only recently over the past 2-3 weeks started to sleep through the night. But I also had other associations I had to work on too so it was all a gradual process but he did very quickly get his night waking down to 2 a night which is a hell of a lot better than 1-2 every hour! Head on over to the sleep forum where you can get lots of advice.

Mine did this until 10 months when I stopped bf. Day and night for feeding. He was the size of a house though...
