Any November babies out there?

Just wondering if there are any other November babies lurking out there?

DS is 5 and a half months old (nearly!) and is a very important part of our family. He's been eating other food for 3 weeks now and current favourites are sweet postato and banana (although not at the same time).

Often feel he should have some sort of routine - was looking at the 6 month routine thread - but apart from the new routine of 6:30 pm bath and then mummy milk and bed, that seems to be about it. Food happens somewhere around lunchtime and there's a sleep about 2 hours after he wakes up.

Will probably discover there are no other November babies and I am talking to myself but I'm sure there must be some!

Hi, I have a November baby too - Nov 15th. Can't believe that we're getting so near to his birthday. I've been really lucky with this one as he eats and sleeps like a dream! Spends most of his time crawling after ds1 and trying to play with his toys at the moment. I love it when they sit together playing , although it usually ends with pushing and screaming!

lydialemon · 23/09/2004 11:15

Hi all, nice to see the other november babies are doing well. I keep thinking of doing this thread but due to lack of sleep ( ) I was just too lazy

DD is one on 4/11, she's crawling around like a maniac and is happy to walk around holding my hand although hasn't been brave enough yet to try it solo! She's far more cheerful and sociable than my DSs ever were, so now all we have to do is crack the disrupted sleep and it'll be perfect

PicadillyCircus · 24/09/2004 15:58

DS has a cold

He keeps getting really unattractive "candles" hanging out of both nostrils. And does NOT enjoy having his nose wiped.

He's also after the whisky - keep having to move our alcohol supplies out of his reach; I think he feels that as they are in bottles, they're for him

I've been meaning to put my bit in for a few days.

Dd2 was 10 months yesterday, she was born 3 weeks early on Nov 28th. She's a star, a really relaxed and laid back baby, doing all the fun stuff - crawling, standing up, clapping, waving bye bye etc .... Lots of fun. She's really loving and loves her big brother and sister. She's great, the best baby I've had!

I've not been too good - still getting the kidney stones I had when I was pregnant, but it is tailing off now they have got on top of the infections. Its been a bit of a nightmare and would have been a lot worse if she had been a difficult baby.

Nice to hear everyone else is OK!

1st birthdays coming up. Any presse ideas? How are all the delightful Nov/Dec babies?

zubb · 05/10/2004 19:45

Its frightening isn't it Oooggs! I can't believe that its nearly a year ago that ds2 arrived. He's teething at the moment - we are on numbers 7 and 8, and for some reasons these seem worse than the others, but can't complain he's still eating and sleeping like a dream.
For his birthday we'll go out somewhere for the day, and we'll only buy him a couple of small ELC toys. He'll get loads of presents from family, and to be honest at 1 he hasn't a clue. We're really only getting him anything so that ds1 can see it.
How's your ds, is he sleeping OK at the moment?

Oooggs · 05/10/2004 19:50

He's sleeping 7am til around 5-6am. 6oz bottle them off til 8-8.30am. That is a great improvement. Just starting teeth 5&6 - doesn't seem to be causing too much trouble. DS isn't getting very much at all, I like the wooden building blocks and the wooden trolley from ELC. That should cover birthday & Christmas

Lisa78 · 05/10/2004 19:55

DS2 is a 4th Nov baby too!
Angel baby, sleeps when he should, is just beginning to talk and try to walk and has a fabulous sense of humour!
And he is, of course, utterly gorgeous, everyone says so

clairabelle · 05/10/2004 20:04

in fact Lisa he's nearly as gorgeous as mine

sis · 05/10/2004 22:44

Weeeelllll, not really a baby but our son will be six in November - he is a remembrance day baby.

Jennisaurus · 10/10/2004 17:37

Happy Birthday to the DS of Picadilly Circus.

How are all the other Nov/Dec 03 babies doing?

PicadillyCircus · 22/11/2004 21:18

Thanks for rescuing this Ooogs - and thank you for the birthday wishes for DS!

He had a lovely party on Saturday with grannies, grandads, aunts and uncles and is still excited that his new toys are still here when he comes down in the mornings .

He is crawling round like a mad thing, cruises along, and is enjoying his new push along trolley. Some babblings that sound a but like words are coming out and I am glad to say that Mummm and mumma are starting to rival the dadadadas we have had for months .

oooggs · 23/11/2004 09:33

Mama mama is the popular in this house, and he doesn't care who he says it to

Ds has a trolley thing for his birthday on 11 Dec. Hasn't the year gone really quick, much faster than my terrible 8mth pregnancy.

Keep in touch

elliott · 23/11/2004 09:55

ds2 is one on Dec 2. He's crawling around and can pull up but not yet cruising. He's a happy little soul and laughs a lot - does a lot of babbling too but nothing very word-like yet - though he can touch his nose if you ask him where it is! He eats like a horse and weaned himself off his bottles - I'm on the last tin of formula, can't wait to stop making that up! Yes its certainly gone quickly....but he's still my little baby

oooggs · 23/11/2004 11:13

Hi Elliot - DS is cruising and standing then laugh and sits down . I have just weaned onto cows milk and it is soooooo much easier. Only did this cos going to Florida tomorrow and formula and sterilising seemed a nightmare.

MikeysMummy · 10/01/2005 15:20

my son was born 5 weeks early on the 6 th nov 2004 weihing 5lbs1oz

MANDYJ · 28/01/2005 12:11

Hi, my son was born on the 5th November at 2.10pm. A wonderful experience. First baby, homebirth, no drugs, marvellous. Loved every minute of it, very painful and i was quite poorly afterwards. I have a wonderful healthy son who was very proud of himself yesterday as he held his rattle for the first time. He then promptly whacked himself in the face with it.

My son now weighs over 13lb and sleeps very well. at least 7 hours a night.

Incidentally i was also told 10 years ago that it was not possible for me to have any children so to get pregnant naturally (without IVF - tried that ten years ago and failed - or any other fertility treatment) and ten to have a home birth was something i never thought i would experience.

mum2max · 28/04/2005 16:49

Hi all, my ds was born 1.58am on Friday 12th November, 2005. Approx 30 hours between waters breaking and him "popping" out . He's a gorgeous bouncing happy little thing, has slept through nicely since 12 weeks and has enjoyed solids for about 5 weeks now. Started him on mush early as he is VERY BIG... He was 16 1/2 lbs at 16 weeks, and is now 20lbs at 24 weeks.......... How big are other Nov babies, is my ds a freak???? (albeit a beautiful freak )

collision · 28/04/2005 16:54

If you go to the thread in post natal club

Babies born Nov

there is a big gang of us who all had babies in November 2004. I think most of us are weaning now so it makes for useful reading.

Just thought I would post this or it might make it confusing to have two November Babies threads.
