how long before tummy shrinks to normal for you?

how long did it take before your tummy went back to normal after childbirth? I had DS two weeks ago and basically look a bit like a Vietnamese potbellied pig. the rest of me is skinny but my stomach was massive by the end and now is like an empty handbag..

ds is 14months and still waiting...........

I'm taking heart from Kama's post. I'm 23 weeks now and finding it hard to adjust to not being my usual skinny self. I haven't put on any weight that anyone else would notice - apart from the bump and slightly bigger boobs - and am still running about 20 miles a week (I am a marathon runner and usually do a lot more than this), so I'm hoping that my body will go back to (almost) the way it was before quite quickly. (Please, please ...!)

i have 2 dc, and am very slim. both times belly shrunk back to normal size a week later and only had a few light stretchmarks with dc2 which have faded away!!

didnt really do any excercise, but worked a lot and was on my feet a lot during both pregnancies.

Pretty quickly with DS - 'normal' birth. 6 months or thereabouts with DD - c-section.
