So the hair is not blown away. It's very safe riding a bike here, everywhere there is bike lane!

Yeah I don't think I came across too much of a headcase - I was a gibbering wreck but I was perfectly right to be (and isn't it amazing the clarity hindsight gives you - I wasn't mad at all I was being treated like shit grrrrr) - I'm just worried about all the deep dark secrets I told her about my past - my misspent youth etc. I always clarified it by saying that I have changed and a far less interesting different person now but still. Yeah she's a pro and doesn't judge - I wouldn't judge either tbf, but it feels very unequal iyswim.

chasing I was worried about that too when I went back to work but it was unfounded. Working makes the time that you do spend together even more special. C's face is a picture when my mum brings him to meet me for lunch or when she brings him home in the evening. He gets so excited and grins from ear to ear, it's so lovely to see.

It's Friday!! The end of a very long week and I can't wait until 5.30. Hopefully it will be a sunny weekend again and we can crack on with the garden.

Got to go shopping too to get bits and pieces for Nowrooz (Persian New Year) which is next Thursday. DP has asked to take a day unpaid and is waiting to hear if it's ok. He could have called in sick and given them no notice to get cover in but decided to put in a request and give them 10 days notice and they are still being dicks about it so he's now told them in no uncertain terms he won't be going in anyway. Apparently they have a great big sign up at work saying if anyone wants any unpaid time off to just speak to their line manager. Various people have had weeks at a time off but when DP asks for one day it's an issue.

Awww thanks Soph it's kind of you to think of me. Just wish I were a bit closer to her grave so I could take some birthday flowers and Jonas for a play.

YellowWellies · 14/03/2014 15:46

I just walked into the kitchen to find Jonas sitting in his antilop high chair. I didn't put him in it! The wee bugger must have got onto the window sill and made a leap for it! Shock

Shock at climbing into highchair antics and Grin at trying to see if granny can hear. That is a very sweet image. Hugs to both of you and especially to yw today.

Last sunny warm day here for a while :( the girls have been brilliant this week they have spent pretty much all day every day outside so have been knackered in the evening.

How on earth is he managing that chasing?

Is has been cold here this week unfortunately after a promising start. However I have dragged the boys out every day to tire them out!

He starts with one fork, steals mine, steals my replacement fork, has one in each hand and a spare in case of emergencies Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 14/03/2014 18:15

Does that mean you are having burgers and raspberries as well?

Report
PetiteRaleuse · 14/03/2014 18:25

My two had raspberries for dinner too. And tabbouleh, cherry tomatoes, ham and gherkins, bread and cheese. A picnic meal.

Report
Lily311 · 14/03/2014 18:39

You can't get raspberries here. There are only apples, oranges, pineapples, pears, bananas and strawberries in the supermarket. Miss the uk, miss blueberries, mango, avocado, blackberries, etc.
