I love sainsbury's magazine for the recipes. However, I always have to remind myself that, really, it is all marketing. I once hosted a lunch for my girl chums purely on the basis of a recipe feature which was just that. I even sourced mismatched crockery to serve my pannacotta in.

See!

Pikz · 19/03/2014 20:36

Yep wedding is in May. May 3rd.

A lot of it is now organised but lots to do too.

Have just cleared up loads of vomit. Lovely.

GTbaby · 19/03/2014 20:42

Fatima is be annoyed too. Hmm
Can you go to the places they visit? See if its been handed in?

H doesn't have a doll... His cousin left hers here but he doesn't seem interested in it. Nor his teddies. Just phones I pad and cars.

Elizadoesdolittle · 19/03/2014 20:45

Very exciting. I'll easily remember that pikz as I am away on a spa weekend then. I'll raise a celebratory cocktail for you.

pr DD1 went through a faze like this. They have a thinking chair at nursery and went on it a couple of times for hitting and pushing. It's all normal toddler behavior, albeit not a very nice one. Don't worry about your DD being excluded form things, I doubt this will happen. Sounds like the nursery and you are dealing with it accordingly. This will pass.

I went out for lunch with my girls today and an elderly couple were on the table next to us. When they left the lady said how well behaved my girls were and how lovely they are. I was chuffed they're not normally.

Elizadoesdolittle · 19/03/2014 20:48

fatima I think you probably are being a bit irrationally annoyed but I can understand why you are. Your DN probably didn't realise the significance of the monkey. My DSIS had a similar toy, a knitted nurse called nursey! Got lost one day when it dropped out of her pushchair. Unfortunately these things happen.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/03/2014 20:59

Fatima do you have a picture of the teddy? I bet if you started a fred in chat with a picture/detailed description some mn'er might be able to source one if you don't think a vaguely simikar replacement will do the trick. They may have stopped making them but someone might stock them somewhere?

PetiteRaleuse · 19/03/2014 21:04

I got a soft toy dog for my dn when he was born but luckily got it from toys r us so it was easy to replace, though that wasn't my reasoning when I got it. Dsis returned the favour and got dd1 a dog when she was born and she takes it everywhere. It has survived countless washes but I haven't had to replace it yet.

LO has just started to get attached to a specific soft toy - I think it is the age for it. A few weeks ago nursery phoned and asked me to bring it in when we left it at home as she was inconsolable without it :o (good job I'm at home now else they'd have had a shitty day of it!)

ValiumQueen · 19/03/2014 21:06

Fatima put a pic on FB and ask folk to share. Hopefully it will turn up.

Passmethecrisps · 19/03/2014 21:10

Can I ask the medical peeps for some thoughts please? Shall Facebook. Nothing dreadful. Hopefully!!

BigPigLittlePig · 19/03/2014 21:11

Evening folks.

Love cassoulet, it is the fave family meal here. Even dsd, pickiest eater ever, wolfs if down and wants 2nds.

With dh off work, have had all my meals cooked for me this week. Tonight was lasagne, yum. He's a bit of a beans on toast man so I'm mega impressed.

Chasing I hope you can get childcare sorted soon, for peace of mind.

Sorry to hear of so much illness, such a shame, but soon it will be summer, and hopefully all the colds will have kindly fecked off.

Pikz yanbu, but I totally understand the guilt thing. How exciting though that the wedding is just around the corner!

Stunt and YW, nice work on the sleeping. F has managed 12 hrs straight the past 2 nights, although her voice is still husky after the acid insult of last week.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/03/2014 21:20

fats think the picture thing is a great idea. Go for it.

pikz hope you are devommed eww.

pass on the removing O from the table, it has taken me till I got to number 4 to feel able to do this and not guilty or upset.

I really have got emotional about the kids not eating properly before and, like you, given them different stuff, or even just sat at the table a cried (and that was only last summer ) but weirdly today I just whipped hi. Down from his high chair and got on with it.

I clinged his tea and then after baths gave it too him again (cold actually because I blew the microwave up the other day and could not be bothered to reheat In the oven) and he ate it all.

No fuss. Worked a treat.

YellowWellies · 19/03/2014 21:29

Soph I've started taking him down from the high chair when he starts fannying around - I figure he's full. If he points at his tray like an angry chimp when I take him down, I figure he wants to continue eating. He's really wee but is having a nice little chubby phase ATM so I feel comfortable that I can be a bit more strict. My Dad cooks different meals for him, his wife and each of their kids and I am soooo not wanting to get into that shit. However, I am wondering whether to cook some dairy and non-dairy options when I wean him and want to eat dairy? Can I actually be arsed?

FatimaLovesBread · 19/03/2014 21:44

Thanks everyone. I know I'm being irrational but she's taken it to bed with her every night for a year. When she wakes up in the night crying and we go in she's always sat in her cot cuddling monkey. In the morning when you wake her she goes to grab him before you get her out Sad

I thought about putting on FB but DN said she'd walked back her route but couldn't see it. Probably been run over or picked up by a dog. Although it stinks with all Ms dribble and raspberry juice from her trying to feed it Grin

I've had a look on eBay, I'd looked previously for a back up just incase this happened and there weren't any.
Today there's two. One's £25!!! One's an auction so I've bid on it. Fingers crossed

Elizadoesdolittle · 19/03/2014 22:30

Fingers crossed fatima. Hope you get it.

ValiumQueen · 20/03/2014 00:12

Jacob woke at 10 absolutely distraught. He has calmed down now, and is playing nicely and not looking at all like sleep.

I have tonsillitis and need to go to work tomorrow.

GTbaby · 20/03/2014 00:42

3rd wake up.

If I suspected a food intolerance/ allergy in A through my BM what is first steps? To cut it out... But when to test it out?
Just considering egg. He has been very back archy farty uncomfortable screaming even with being picked up on days I've had scrabbled eggs.

Hmmm I realise its the middle of the night and I'm kinda clutching at straws Blush but anything is worth a try.

ValiumQueen · 20/03/2014 00:47

GT I would think egg is a fairly easy thing to cut out of your diet. You need to eliminate it for a good few weeks.

ValiumQueen · 20/03/2014 01:03

This is fucking ridiculous. Three hours. Still going strong. Just tried to settle him again and he is not having it.

GTbaby · 20/03/2014 01:06

Vq I was thinking same. Nothing like dairy or wheat. I don't think it cause of all our sleep issues but some nights he has real strops. Seems like he is very uncomfortable.

How is your throat? Do you get this often?

GTbaby · 20/03/2014 01:11

Xpost does he play in his room /cot? What if you switch off lights tv etc.

What If you put toys in cot? Will he play alone? Maybe drift off so you can sleep.

Can you run through his sleep routine again? Read/sing/ nappy/ brush teeth type thing.
Sry more clutching at straws ideas. Blush

GTbaby · 20/03/2014 02:08

Yawn yawn yawn
Hope your all asleep n

PetiteRaleuse · 20/03/2014 06:22

Sounds like shite nights for vq and gt Brew

Hope your throat is ok vq tonsillitis is awful. Ice cream.

I was awake quite a bit as dd1 was coughing and it sounded like she was drowning while coughing. But other than a bunged nose is fine. She's not coughing now she is up and about.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/03/2014 06:53

vq hope you able to wrap up, take something and get through the day ok. I have never had tonsillitis must be awful.

Pikz · 20/03/2014 07:41

VQ massive massive hugs tonsillitis is a complete fucker. I have it at least twice a year.
