Jam that is funny about the Queen. I hope you at least looked up if she has an account? Or does she Skype?

Too funny Jam.
If you pack a bag that means you won't have to go in Grin
How odd Kayz. All beyond me. All I've heard about depo is weight gain, but then trade off is no period! Weren't you talking about having a fourth at one point? Why not just stay off it Wink
How's the foot deids? I'm getting a bit achy if I don't exercise the leg daily but might be not stretching in between or colder weather.
Dh should be back earlier tmrw so will pad / Lycra / test then, then hopefully off the weekend and treating ds for a great school report. He chooses bike riding. I'm gonna freeze!

Rubena · 14/11/2013 22:31

Oh great. The war of the effing radiators has started.

Vagolajahooli · 15/11/2013 08:00

Has your heating gone Rubes?

OP posts:
JamInMyWellies · 15/11/2013 09:15

You turn them up DH turns them down?

Vagolajahooli · 15/11/2013 09:20

Ha that's what happens here Jam. I've tried to plead that surely it more efficient to just leave them at the same constant temperature.

OP posts:
JamInMyWellies · 15/11/2013 09:48

It is more economical to do that Vag. Thankfully ours is all underfloor downstairs so its not easy to change the temp. But I am trying to save money this yr so have turned all the thermostats down 1degree.

Indith · 15/11/2013 09:56

WE used to have wards too.

Can't wage war with the fire though. It is either on or off.

RTjoke · 15/11/2013 10:01

We had a our radiators bled yesterday. It's made such a difference, our house is properly warm for the first time in ages and ages.

beans37 · 15/11/2013 10:03

My periods were back exactly 6 weeks after I stopped feeding both times. On the nose. Weeeeird.

DH and I have been using withdrawal method. Silly billies. Lets hope its worked... Must get some condoms.

I'm doing my Xmas shopping. Trying to decide what to get big DDs. They want emotion pets. Hmmm. Got DD1 the most disgusting animator Disney princess doll for her birthday. But it's what she wanted!!

Now onto stocking fillers...

RTjoke · 15/11/2013 10:19

I find stocking fillers easy but am at a loss for big presents. DD2 wants the Play Mobile school but it is over £100. She does play with Play Mobile for hours and hours though. Still I think it's too much. She also mentioned a play kitchen but I think she is too old really. Basically I am stuck.

Rubena · 15/11/2013 10:35

Yes he claims that they are set on 22 deg and do therefore that is normal room temp. He looked for a thermometer last night. I don't give a fuck quite frankly what the thermometer says as I'm still cold. This house is a shambles and we can't do much until we own it then underfloor heating going in, and I know the radiators are messed up but dh would happily live in an igloo I reckon.
Urgh I have booked the dreaded soft play party for ds birthday for his school mates. Can't get out of it anymore with all the kids having them!
Dear god, stockings. Big issue with mil when she made them then filled them without telling me. I had done the same as they are MY kids. Was so Angry Then this year she asked for them back do she could fill them and I said no don't worry I have got stuff for them to which she replied "no I've already got it all" I'm fuming.
Big presents- ds getting new bike for bday. He wants a remote control space ship that actually flies for Christmas and is going to ask Santa - help! Blush Mil is wanted to get dd a bike with stabilizers but not letting her as ds did do well in balance bike.

Indith · 15/11/2013 11:07

RT check out the ongoing christmas bargains threads on here. They often link to good deals, I've seen a few playmobil deals.

Honsandrevels · 15/11/2013 19:32

Blimey Rubes, I'd be really pissed off if my mil did that with the stockings. I'd wait until much nearer Christmas and then say you haven't got them and you must have returned them to her last year. Could you get dd's a kite in the shape of a rocket? Not exactly remote control though!

I've got dd1 a sylvanian family house, and dd2 is getting a balance bike as their main presents. For dd1's birthday dh wants to get her a full size keyboard. I think she'd prefer Lego! The bargain thread in here is great. I got dd2 the octopod from my parents reduced to £20 after seeing it on there.

Sybs I agree it would be good to set a date to sign up for the secret Santa so we don't leave it till the last minute.

Honsandrevels · 15/11/2013 19:33

Rubes that was meant to say ds

Vagolajahooli · 15/11/2013 19:35

You or right Veg? Think you said the same thing at 09.20 this morning! Maybe you just feel v strongly about radiators.

Just back from M&S where an old lady mistook me for the au psir's mother!!! She is 19 FFS. Am depressed.

Am off to read the bargain thread.

Vagolajahooli · 15/11/2013 19:43

What the....? That was random, the phone seemed to have saved the last post I wrote & then posted it when I rtried to get rid of it.

Poor DS2 had the day off school today because he has a cold. Now he is in bed and coughing his guts up (Rubes Wink ). Poor little poppit. He had to miss swimming lessons too. Bit of a bummer as he will have to miss next week when we go away, but he can do catch up classes.

I'm stuck on presents I think we will get DS2 a nikko mini remote control car. The one that go in the water and some ice skates and hope the ponds & canal up the road freeze over again this year. Otherwise, they aren't going to get much use in Australia.

JamInMyWellies · 15/11/2013 21:52

Eurgh have just see the prediction for freezing weather and snow next wk. Guess I best get the winter tyres put on Babs.

JamInMyWellies · 15/11/2013 21:57

Oh and Christmas I am pretty much sorted apart from DH. Children are getting quite alot but we dont buy stuff during the yr anything they get they have to save their pocket money for. So selection of board games, books and the usual toot for the stockings. For their big joint pressies DH has bought them an ipad mini. Which I am still a bit Hmm about as its so much money. But I am a mean mummy when it comes to electrical stuff I am very restrictive on when they can use it.

DS2 is getting a teksta robot dog obviously in pink and DS1 has got him a fart gun for his birthday. Not having a big party but has chosen 4 friends to go bowling and put for pizza.

Rubena · 15/11/2013 22:00

Snow next week??Blush Didn't hear that yet!
Vag hope ds feels better and stops coughing his guts up (Wink) went to the gym when dh returned (very speedily from work with his new crank) but sorry I could not carry out panty liner / Lycra experiment as fortunately spotting seems to have stopped.

Rubena · 15/11/2013 22:06

Jam I think we are donating ipad 1 to the kids as dh been offered a freebie new one which will be mine Grin because he wants my laptop to take to work as it's small and light for cycling although he is now looking up newer versions of mine Hmm Out old ipad was planned to be a lighting control thing but now wants mini for that. Not sure how this house purchase will ever happen! Grin

RTjoke · 16/11/2013 06:39

Wow. After some truly awful nights of constant feeding and resettling and rocking DH decided we need to stop all milk at night. He slept in DS' room last night and I went to bed at 10 and just woke up now. Longest sleep in nearly a year and still no sign of DS who often wakes for the day before 5. Go DH!!

sybilfaulty · 16/11/2013 06:50

Wow, Arti, that's amazing. Is he going to do it again tonight for you? Can you put your head down and get another hour in just in case it's a one off from Mr A? Sleep when you are really tired is so wonderful. It's like a drug. Hope you have a restful day.

I am off to lead a seminar on Corporation tax today. Go me! I keep thinking of the money but it's hard at not even 7 on a Saturday. Kids are all up already though. DH sound asleep. At least they are big enough to help themselves to toast....

DeidreBarlow · 16/11/2013 08:09

Lord I have hangover! Went for early birthday drinks last night with my friends. We haven't been out in ages. Way too much wine consumed! Thankfully DD off to a recording studio for a friends birthday in an hour or so, only one to amuse! They are doing a 1 Direction song & she gets her own CD!! She's been wailing like a cat most if the week 'practising'. Will be interesting to see what they sound like Grin.

We've bought cheaper tablets for DD/DS at Christmas. Mum has bought them Furbys!! But she got 25% off so They were a bargain. Rubes I totally get the way you feel about the stocking. My MIL was the same. Although 'Santa forgot' and left it at her houseHmm. That way she got to watch them open it....

The foot sore this morning after heels last night. I went swimming yesterday though. Running still seems a long way off Sad
