I'm not gonna lie Vag, but you appear fairly pro at it..... I am fairly good at the organizing side of things when we go back home and on non work related trips with the kids, but my organizational skills always get drowned out, by my yearning for dh's input. It's silly as he has said countless times that he doesn't mind, and whatever makes me happy etc, but every time, I get a big voice in my head telling me he ears the money and needs to have an opinion. I need to get over that Grin since it's been nearly 10 years!
Right, dh is back with booze..... must press on.
Any news Jam?

FestiveRubes · 22/12/2013 20:08

earns it - not ears it Hmm

RTjoke · 23/12/2013 08:36

Morning!

How was your mum at the weekend Sybs? Poor her copingbwitgnyour dad in such a state. I hope you were both able to have a nice time.

And are you back from your Mum's Beano? Where are you spending Christmas?

Jamster, you know what I want to ask but I will resist lest it make you scream.

We just booked our summer hols: the outlaws are v generously taking all their kids, kids' spouses and seven grand kids for two weeks to Greece to celebrate FiL's 70th at a Mark Warner but then we have also booked a week in the French Alps with friends. We have a gorgeous chalet by a lake and I'm having all sorts of Heidi:Skund of Music fantasies of my children running through Alpine fields picking Eldelweiss...

All Christmas shopping diner here but this morning I must achieve the impossible and take a good photo of all three kids together. I have a frame for DH but need the photo. DS teething and had unbecoming red cheeks, would it be wrong to powder them????

FestiveRubes · 23/12/2013 10:15

I meant to say how fab ds2 is vag! Why on earth are you moving home! I cannot wait to get my two skiing.
Arti that hol sounds fab u lous!

Hi everyone! Just a very quick one to say that we have a DD. Named her Elspeth, nn Elsie. 3.3 kg. Born just this morning at 11:30. Can't say I enjoyed the labour but it's done now! Still in hospital but leaving soon.

Sorry to steal your spot Jam! Was losing the will to live at only 38 +6 so very much feeling your pain.

Will get some pics up on Facebook!

Indith · 23/12/2013 13:26

Congratulations mom!

jammy calm down, don't kill mom and think nice oxytocin inducing thoughts. Grin

dd is 5 today! How did she very so big? party yesterday was fun. Had her birthday dinner last night as fil and his dp were here. Curry with all the extras followed by jelly and ice cream.

dd has had about 6 poos today, most of them coming in pants as she legs it to the loo yelling 'it is coming too fast! ' am hoping it is her rather sensitive to pulses digestive system complaining about the very lentily curry and bit another bug.

JamInMyWellies · 23/12/2013 16:46

MOM such lovely news, congratulations!!

FestiveRubes · 23/12/2013 16:55

Congrats Mom!

Did you know Nigella has a recipe for Ham in coke Shock !!
Stumbled upon it whilst browsing for a sprouts recipe - too funny

FestiveRubes · 23/12/2013 17:03

happy birthday mini indith!

DeidreBarlow · 23/12/2013 19:02

MoM congratulations!!

And a happy birthday to mini Indith.

Nolda · 23/12/2013 20:01

Congratulations, MoM!

RTjoke · 23/12/2013 20:06

Congratulations MoM. Love the name. Have the boys met her yet?

Rubes, we did Nigella's coke thing last year! Or one of her coke things anyway. The legal coke thing. It was great.

Why haven't I started my wrapping yet? I have three kids and six nieces and nephews to wrap for before Christmas morning. Wishing I'd bought them all less now ??

Mckayz · 23/12/2013 21:14

Congrats Mom!!!! Lovely name.

We do the Nigella ham in coke. It's lovely.

DD is ill. She got a cough and a bit of a fever. Her temperature was 38 before calpol. It's now 36.9 but she still feels very hot. I have a feeling it will be a long night.

ZuleikaJambiere · 23/12/2013 21:49

Congratulations Mom, lovely news. I wanted Elspeth but DH wouldn't let me, it's gorgeous

Done in after DDs party, hitting the mulled wine

Indith · 23/12/2013 22:00

gin is the answer to all life's troubled.
All the children have the plague. cough variety not poo variety. That wad just the lentils.

I love gin.

Mckayz · 23/12/2013 22:06

I have never tried gin. I'm so boring.

FestiveRubes · 23/12/2013 22:16

Never Kayz? I actually can't believe that.
Hope u get quick recoveries indith.

I'm turning to brandy tonight. In an attempt to get a bit festive. Feeling a bit meh. Brandy Reminds me of Christmas at home as the women in the fam always had a brandy & dry. Love it.

Mckayz · 23/12/2013 22:19

Nope. I tried tonic water once and it was grim so decided a G&T must be grim. I spent my teenage years drinking vodka and red bull and various cocktails.

Mckayz · 23/12/2013 22:55

Waiting for an OOH GP is not what I want to be doing 25 hours before Xmas day. Sad

FestiveRubes · 23/12/2013 23:05

Kayz had it shot up again? If it's 36.9 I wouldn't worry just give ibuprofen and calpol together as directed and tepid sponge if got again. Obviously if it's shot up take her in. Hope your night improves.

Mckayz · 23/12/2013 23:25

She was sick everywhere while DH was on the phone so they decided they wanted to see her. But they only do house calls for OAPs so DH has taken her.

FestiveRubes · 23/12/2013 23:28

Oh no poor dd. hope she's home feeling better soon x

Mckayz · 23/12/2013 23:59

She's got an upper respiratory infection. Regular calpol, offer water and let her sleep.

DeidreBarlow · 24/12/2013 07:50

Kayz hope DD feels better today.

I love gin. Although I did have a long absence from it after drinking too much of it on my 18th!!

Right I have work for a few hours this morning so best get cracking. Thankfully mum had children last night so at least they are getting a lie in! They are do tired but keep waking up excited and won't go back to sleep Hmm

Indith · 24/12/2013 09:56

Hope she feels better soon Kayz. I think you need gin Grin. I'll send you some slow gin and lemonade.

Ds2 is playing with my phone. He likes mucking around drawing patterns on the lock screen. He just did it so many times it did its lock thing so he is now staring at it and mutters "oh sake, sake ah sake" Grin I may need to watch my tendency to mutter Oh FFS Blush.
