Grin I'm sure she is the star of the show.
Vagolajahooli · 25/11/2013 21:26

Crikey you ladies have been chatty this afternoon.

But where is Arti? I guess she has been busy with the christening & family. Didn't see any photos of it on FB though. Hope she is ok.

Hello Sybs and I see you there too Hons. You've been thinking of OT?

It's interesting the what will the kids do when their olderr question, Kayz. I have a friend who is a SAHM and she worries that she is a bad example for her daughters. I think that is a shame that she thinks that. I don't think children have to see both parents working to know how to aspire to something. I think motivation and work ethic can be shown in ways other than physically going off to paid work. (Though not sure I'm doing it that well). To be honest, I'd be happy if the boys decided to be the primary home based carers of their kids. Also my old job, as much as I loved it and hope to go back to it, was very stressful and I don't think I would have been a nice mum or a good example of working womenhood. I'm waffling now aren't I.

You are, Vag, but I like it.

Look at me, living the dream. I'm in bed.

Is it bad that I am encouraging DH to play one of his Xbox games in the hope he will feed DD3 quite late, therefore enabling me to sleep longer?? Although then maybe she'll have done her one lone stint of sleeping. God, this baby lark is a minefield of dreary possibilities. I've bored myself. Zzzzzzzz.

Vagolajahooli · 25/11/2013 21:50

No that is a perfect idea Beans. How often do husband get encouraged to play video games. Your an angel of a wife Beans, he's lucky to have you. ;-p

I'm here Veg. And there are christening photos on FB! It all went really well. Drugs and adrenalin saw DD2 through. DD1 did a fab reading and DS melted hearts by smiling throughout, even when practically immersed in the water.

I'm up for secret Santa.

We are doing a 5th party in mid Jan, I can't do a party in the week before chrimbo, it just feels wrong. DD2 wants 7 kids from her class and 5 from her old nursery. Several kids in her class have had all class parties so I feel a bit bad we aren't following suit.

Nolda · 26/11/2013 06:59

Beans, that is funny ("star of the show"). DS is also a star but one of many. He says that he has two things to say but has no idea what they are so not looking good.

Hons I hope you get to see your DDs bit, fingers crossed filming is allowed.

Ocado man brought all the stuff. I need the fresh yeast to make the advent buns this week. Swedish coffee will be drunk whenever. Special sausages will be eaten on DS's birthday but the rest kept for Christmas.

Nolda · 26/11/2013 07:02

Arti, so glad the christening went well. Will go and look at the photos now.

I'm up for secret Santa.

beans37 · 26/11/2013 11:29

breastfeeding is meant to be a beautiful thing. Tell DD3. She's lying on me feeding away, then doubling up as she squeezes out a stinky poo. nice.

RT. so glad the christenings went well. We're having godparent dilemmas as this is our final one.

Just had a smear test. Yummy.

JamInMyWellies · 26/11/2013 13:27

Crikey have just squeezed my nipple and got colostrom. Please god make this mean the bubba is going to be sooner rather than later. I am the most uncomfortable ever. Legs and feet still massive after the weekend.

Our lot dont do anything for CHristmas when in reception. The yr 1 children take parts in teh nativity tableau when they school attends church before they break up.

Arti saw your pics on FB of the Christening. Lovely.

I must go eat more chocolate and watch crap on telly.

JamInMyWellies · 26/11/2013 13:28

Oh and am up for secret santa.

Rubena · 26/11/2013 13:36

Beans, please tell her to say that - it'd be the highlight of the show! When you opened with "here we are waiting for another arrival" beans I thought you were up duffed again!!!

Jam, please have this baby soon yippee!

How do you lot manage 3 crikey I'm snowed under with all these child related activities. Have just had to move ds's swimming lessons to another day so dd can fit in her ballet and possibly tap Shock Have had to take in raffle tickets, cakes this Thurs, jolly jars Monday, then on Friday man a Christmas Fayre stall for a bit, and take the dcs to the schools Grotto to meet Santa as well, plus stay on top of all his "weekend challenges" plus his reading and homework! - Just had coffee with some of the reception Mums and we were wondering how people who work full time keep up with it all! Hats off!

Rubena · 26/11/2013 13:37

Oh and yes to SS - will add it to my to do list!! Grin

Rubena · 26/11/2013 17:24

What did dd eat at nursery? Barely anything. Just the rice again and sipped the juice only from her fruit salad.
Comes home and requests "pate on Melba toast please"
I give up.
Still giving her school dinners next year.

Honsandrevels · 26/11/2013 18:35

Vag Not thinking of doing OT myself but I think it is a good option for a new career. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gone to university if the fee situation was the same as it is now, and certainly not have done my phd.

ooh Nolda how do you make advent buns?

dd1 is a snowflake in the nativity hmm]

Indith · 26/11/2013 18:39

Sorry jammy dear but you start producing colostrum from around 16 weeks. You just might not know it. Still, he has to come out at some point.

This afternoon the cm messaged to day her dd had diarrhoea again. Then to say ds2 had it. She'd already picked dd and ds1 up by the time I got back. dd also complaining of sore tummy, school concerned may have uti as dancing around, multiple trips to loo and saying didn't want to go as it hurt. I have work to do darn it! Oh and ds1 has complained of itchy bum for a couple of days. Have looked at his poo but can see no signs of worms. Confused .

JamInMyWellies · 26/11/2013 20:04

Sshh Indith I am taking it as a sign things are moving along. Grin

We too have had the itchy bum convo tonight. That will be me shining a torch at bums in the dark tonight

Hope the DC are ok and you get the opportunity to study.

Mckayz · 26/11/2013 20:06

Vag, my boys want to play football when they grow up. But if it's not possible DS1 would like to be a pilot or like Vincent Van Gogh. But with both ears. Grin I reckon he'd be a great tv host or politician as he never shuts up.
DS2 wants to be Usain Bolt, Mo Farah, Andy Murray or Kimi Raikkonen. He loves all sports.

DD will be one of those trolley collectors in a supermarket as she pushes her little cart about all day.

It's amusing to listen to their ideas. DS2 used to want to drive a cement mixer.

beans37 · 26/11/2013 20:23

I am about to start a week from hell... DH on a work party tonight, back late. Tomorrow he buggers off on a work course til Friday. Then he pops in on Friday to pick up his stuff for 20mins, and bogs off on a boy's weekend until late Monday night. I have got some help lined up, but I'm going to miss him.

I have necked 2 glasses of rosé and 3 mini Green & Blacks chocolate bars to make me feel better. Will regret it tomorrow.

Jam! I'm afraid I got colostrum out at about 25 weeks!

Am v tired and on 10.30pm duty. May just go to bed in a min and set alarm for later! Or just bin it and sleep on. Ho hum. DD3 has been a dream today. She makes me want another one. But not really.

beans37 · 26/11/2013 20:25

Oh and I have wind. As usual. Is that a side effect of having just bred?

Indith, HOW DO YOU COPE???

Indith · 26/11/2013 20:43

Great career aspirations kayz Grin

beans keep some of that Wine for the end of the week!

I'm in denial. clearly ds2 ha yet to get over the bug of last week. No idea about dd. Shall shine a light up ds1s arse later tonight. hate it when everyone had a bug and then they give it to the cm's dd and then it all comes back round again. Still, I printed off s load of articles this morning so at the very least I'll be able to get some reading done tomorrow.

Indith · 26/11/2013 20:44

beans I get painful trapped wind. Never used to before children. No idea what might cause it though.

Mckayz · 26/11/2013 23:16

There is a mouse in my bedroom!!! Sad

Indith · 27/11/2013 07:17

eek!

2 big ones have worms. Didn't wake the small one to check h his bum since he was actually sleeping for once! Today I shall be mostly cleaning everything in sight and washing bed linen.

Mckayz · 27/11/2013 07:26

That's pants Indith.

So I spent the night on the sofa with DD. Well she slept on one and I slept on the other. DS1 was up with diahorrea(or however you spell it) DS2 has an awful cough so was up most of the night. Of course DD didn't wake up once!!

Indith · 27/11/2013 08:13

hahaha.

It really is that time of year isn't it!
