Aww lbm Sad. S fell off bed when she first learned to roll. I was out the room not thinking she would go anywhere... She bumped off bedside table and ended up under bed Sad. I'm sure R will be fine, often sounds worse than it is!

lovinbeingmum · 10/08/2012 07:07

fuzzzythat must have been scary! he was clingy all afternoon, i guess the shock element but slept the night...so all well...whew....Smile

LittlePebble · 10/08/2012 09:17

Lbm glad he is ok, it's horrible when they hurt themselves. E got scratched by the cat this morning, knocked over by the dog yesterday.....he's constantly bruised and got bumps Hmm I'm glad no one comes round to check they'd think I'm a very bad mummy.
SP great news Grin

hi everyone. been reading periodically, so have read it- but ive not remembered much as usual Blush

great news about w strawberry

glad you are running again climbing

bunt Blush Grin

lovin sorry about the bump. it makes you feel terrible when it happens.

well- my news.

went to court tues. didnt realise i would be in front of magistrates Shock made me so nervous- and felt like a criminal. they took over an hour deliberating. then decided it needs to go back in front of the original judge (who had previously refused it) and we go back in nov! its never fecking ending. chloe has to be interviewd and they're talking of getting a solicitor for her- even though i asked for that last time- and was refused. Hmm Angry

dp had his vasectomy! Sad about no more babies, but glad also.

and the best news- we have booked an apartment in italy, and it has a pool- im just hoping it wont be too cold to go in it!

eva is still the best baby going. still sleeps through, plays for hours on end on her own and with twins. she has had her 8month check up and was 19lbs 9oz. she was born on the 99th percent tile, went down to 85th, but is back up to 91st. chubbster! Grin

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 10/08/2012 10:16

sassy good to hear from you!! Shock at chloe! How bloody awful for you all. Hopfully will all be sorted for good in Nov!!
I really thought you might have one more baby! Grin yay for Eva Smile

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 10/08/2012 10:16

Don't mean I'm shocked at Chloe, mean I'm shocked at the Chloe situation Blush

sassy34264 · 10/08/2012 10:20

im tempted an there's still time! Wink

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 10/08/2012 10:21

do it, do it

LittlePebble · 10/08/2012 11:14

Sassy when will you be in Italy?

OP posts:
sassy34264 · 10/08/2012 11:47

pebble 9 th sept til 5th oct. we are staying just outside turin.

ipswichwitch · 10/08/2012 13:09

Fingers crossed it all gets sorted in nov sassy it astounds me how these things get so dragged out when they must realise its no good for anyone.
Italy sounds fab though (do you have room in your cases for me and a little one?? :) )

N had a checkup with the drs on children's ward today. They are v happy with his progress and want to increase the iron medication as he's tolerating it do well. I forgot completely to ask about the heart murmur :( but he's back on 4th sept so will make a note to ask then.

fuzzzy I'm not back at work yet. Got a letter from the counsellor saying its a 4-5 month wait!!! The HV was horrified and said as I'd asked for help now I should be getting it now. She's looking into other options for me. Current sick note ends weds but nothing has changed. My brain is still all over, I can't seem to think straight, and burst into tears over nothing. So we'll see what the dr says next week. God, I'm never away from the place.

sassy34264 · 10/08/2012 13:33

ipswich i seriously doubt it! im panicking at the thought of everything we will need to take. i cant possible take nappies for 3 for 4 weeks and im pretty sure italy must sell nappies of its own! so thats not too bad, but i defo want to take aptimil for eva. and i am going to have to buy a travel cot and a buggy, as i cant lug that triple pram on the plane- which means i'll have to take reins for the twins. going shopping for clothes/swimsuits this weekend. need loads of suncream too- agh. just been thinking how lovely it will be- ive completely ignored the practacalities- wheres that pa, when you need one. ??

glad n is responded to the iron supplement. i hope you get more time off- if thats what you want. x

ipswichwitch · 10/08/2012 14:23

sassy could the apartment owners not sort a cot for you? At least summer gear is on sale now!! I'm not really sure what I want, I'm just scared that since nothing has changed I'll go to work an end up breaking down again.

LittlePebble · 10/08/2012 17:34

Sassy we were in Italy in April when E was 6 months and they sell pampers and aptimil. I just took enough for the journey then bought it all over there. Aptimil comes in larger bottles (about 1 ltr) but E was fine with it at 6 months didn't have a dodgy tummy at all.
We'll be over there on 13th so you'll have to give me a heads up on the weather!

ClimbingPenguin · 10/08/2012 21:50

anyone given their DCs blackberries. DS only had one but look liked he had been involved in a very bloody murder Shock

thanks sassy that trip sounds good, am a little Envy

we are not moving after all, they wouldn't budge on salary we didn't accept.

ips does the HV know of any other services. Round here there is a local counselling charity with a much shorter waiting list, maybe there is something else your way, or go see another HV at another clinic. If you got signed off again would that spark anything with occupational health and trigger a need to work part time as part of a management strategy?

ClimbingPenguin · 10/08/2012 21:52

loving i more jog than run, my aim is to get to running 3 miles, 3 times a week and then leave it there to improve my base fitness for a while. I did tough guy in my pre DC days and I hope to do that again. It is done in January so I think the next one is too optimistic, especially as I want to get on top of any knee niggles I have, so hoping for the one the year after that.

CheshireDing · 11/08/2012 08:01

Sassy how ridiculous to drag it out until November, talk about never ending. That seems a long time to us so to a child (Chloe) that must seem like forever :( What a waste of everyone's time too, did you/can you rant at them? Grin

We bought a travel cot from Mothercare for £30, it's only any good if your going in the car though as it would be heavy to take on a plane I think.

Climbing our dog loves Blackberries. The messiest thing P eats is anything tomato based - she looks like an Oompa Lumpha at the end!

Ips Glad things are going well for N. A 4-5 month waiting list is a bit bloody pointless when it's for Counselling fgs, is there an option of going private or slightly out of area for a shorter waiting time? Is it your MIL with the bf "issue". P is still sleeping rubbish (3 hour stretch max last night) as she is bf, am slightly panicking now as start work in about 6 weeks and cannot imagine working and being knackered :(

How are those of you working surviving? Are all your babies sleeping through? (not sure if I do actually want to know the answers) ;)

Ed I think that's the problem when it's free (and poss when it's MIL rather than your own Mum). I am paying my Mum for 2 days Poppy care and I can tell her exactly how I want things doing because I am paying/she's my Mum/I am strict and evil but would feel mean saying similar to my MIL. I still have to take stuff back to the shop that my Mum and Gran buy P though and change it for something useful!

Pebble I know it's not funny but your post about E being scratched by the cat and knocked over by the dog did make me chuckle. They are like skittles babies Grin

Fuzzzy any news re job?

ClimbingPenguin · 11/08/2012 08:55

chesire it can be done, but you have make sure DH picks up a lot of slack. At one point I basically did no housework, although DH was a SAHD. Also he would help in the night feeds by bring DD to me and taking her away again. She fed two hourly to over a year. In some ways it is easier working when tired than not, but depends on home set up, even if it is just while you adjust to being back. Can you afford a cleaner for 6 months or even just some local teenager? Somehow I worked a whole year with DD waking that frequently but I still think being at home with the two of them when tired is harder.

DS is also 2-3 hourly here after his 10ish feed and I doubt will sleep through for a fair few months yet. It's the nights where he wakes 90mins-2 hours that leave me drained the next day. My sleep is getting better so I am off before midnight just about again.

we are all off swimming soon

Engelsemama · 11/08/2012 09:19

Well done on the runs climbing I really need to get back on the road. Have been shredding for the last 2 weeks (have never managed more than 2 days before) and am already seeing some results (not eating quite so much crap is also helping) but wouls like to aign up for another 10k before the end of the year.

Good news re W?s kidney and blog strawberry

Glad to hear that N is doing better foodwise ips 4-5 month wait for counseling is ridiculous Sad

fuzzy I am on MFP (under my old N name). Am also trying to shift some weight and tone up. Outraged that according to MFP I am allowed 1000 calories less per day than DH ? but then he is 6?6!. This may be part of my weight prob ? eating the same as him all the time!

ed I am really looking forward to getting back to school (only one more week of holiday left). I have done loads of stuff in the house/garden the last few weeks ? the type of stuff I never get a chance to do term time ? but am really done with it now and ready to get started with all my new classes. Only 3 days a week but really looking forward to it.

sassy sorry to hear they?re dragging the court case out again Sad

I had a mini-meltdown this week. I was so tired ?had a slight hangover? on Wed and just couldn?t deal with M crying. He went to bed really unsettled and I ended up in tears listening to him screaming through the babyphone. Felt awful on Thurs too and have had trouble sleeping the last few nights. I know everyone has off days ? I think this is my body telling me I need a break. Let DH know I was struggling and he has picked up more the last few days when he?s home. I just feel so tired ? feel like I?m constantly on the go with M and worrying about DH. DH has been doing so much better on Ads and with CBT sessions, but it?s still so up and down (he was really enjoying his running therapy group, but has been ordered by physio to lay off for 6 weeks). I know I shouldn?t complain, a lot of other people have it much worse, but I just want my husband back Sad

Managed to get round to signing M up for the library last week (have had the letter for about 4 months!)

ClimbingPenguin · 11/08/2012 09:22

engels can you send him out for a 30 min walk each day instead? or some pilates etc.

Engelsemama · 11/08/2012 09:33

I am always trying to get him to come out for a walk with me climbing - I went for a 50 min walk round the park via the library Thursday afternoon and he wouldn't come.

He did pop out to check out a local gym the other night and wants to look at a few more next week and then sign up for a year. he used to do lots of pumping iron in his mid 20s (way before he met me).

I'm always trying to persuade him to get off the sofa but have been trying for the last 4 years to no avail. (though when he got home yesterday I was cutting back some of our jungle garden and he joined me for 20mins).

Same with his depression. I'd been trying to get him to go to our GP for 2-3 years before he finally did at the beginning of last year. He has to want to do it for himself I think (and it takes him a VERY long time to realise that he needs to do it and motivate himself to do it). However, am trying to motivate him by example. have been doing shred for 2 weeks and when I do it when he's at home, that's when he starts taking more action and getting off his arse

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 11/08/2012 09:39

Morning all Smile
cp that's great about the running! I don't think I could run 1/2 a mile right now Blush
cheshire Sad about the sleep. S generally sleeps 7/7.30pm till 6.30/7am but last week she was waking every night at 3am and screaming! Normally a little cry and I leave her as she just finds her dummy and goes back to sleep but this was full on meltdown. I'm sure as cp says, you will manage when back to work. It's a thought though. Nothing on the job! Im annoyed as they said fri at latest! I'll phone tue next week if I've still not heard.

engels well done for doing the shred! I have the DVD so must give it a go! I'll add you on mfp. Im starting fresh on Monday Smile

My mum kept S last night as i was out for dinner with friends. Still woke at 6am though Angry. Tossed and turned for a few more hours but it's so hot this morning I just couldn't get back to sleep! No rush to go pick her up so I'm having a lazy morning then getting caught up with housework and washing. Hopefully just spend the day in the garden as the weather man said rain again by Monday Confused

strawberrypenguin · 11/08/2012 10:36

climbing no blackberries yet but W loves strawberries and yes always ends up looking like he's killed someone!

eng sorry to hear your struggling hope things get better soon. If DH won't walk will he swim?

sassy dragging it out till November sounds stupid but on the plus side at least they've given you the things you asked for in the first place to help you.

ClimbingPenguin · 11/08/2012 22:17

am feeling a little chuffed as just did a 7 min 15 secs mile run :)

bearing in mind only been running 4 weeks at a distance of 1-2 miles so far and not that fast (I was happy with a 9 min pace on my 1.5 mile last week) but thought I'd give it my all and see what happened.

Then I got a bit lost on my way home and had to ask for directions Blush

eng that sounds a bit shit, I can only assume how frustrating it is to point out the logic that if he enjoyed the running then he needs to replace it with something and will like that as well for it to be met with nothing. Good on you for the shred though, sounds scary. I don't even do all of my pilates DVD yet.

TallyBear · 11/08/2012 22:37

Missed so much and skimmed so sorry if I've missed anything; been in the Lake District for a week with mum, dad, aunt, brother and his gf. Seb loved the attention and there was always someone to play with him. He played in sand and the sea for the first time and loved it. Mum bought him a mini bucket and spade and he covered it in sand and then chewed it! Eww. I did wonder if that had anything do to with the runny tummy he has now?!

Pen That article is really interesting. Although like many things, easy to say but a bit more difficult to do Smile. I will try to be a parent like that.

Seb is chatting away. Words so far: Baa baa (first lines of 'Baa baa black sheep'. This is a favourite); Abba (Swedish pop band); ghee (ingredient in indian cooking); Ger (Mongolian Yurt); Rur (river in Germany)! Grin. No mama or dada yet.

Straw that's great news on the kidney.

Fuzzzy good luck with the gym - I've still got quite a lot of pre-Seb weight to lose. But I'm still here eating holiday fudge! Have a workout for me Grin.

Lovin what a shock but he sounds like he's fine.
