Didn't want you to feel lonely, so hi! Got a March baby here, starting to get used to the night feeds now, going to be glad when he's sleeping through. How are you doing?

I have a March baby... its HARD!! the no sleep is ridiculous, but love him to pieces. Still trying to get the nack of breastfeeding too, just hoping it all gets easier soon.

Hello, can I join this select sleep deprived group too please?! I have a scrummy DD who was 5weeks old yesterday. Don't want to speak too soon but think I'm beginning to get the hang of her now although it has been the biggest, most special yet terrifying experience I've had!! I'm still in awe of her and can't believe I have her forever!! Haha

I've had to stop exclusively breast feeding this week which has been really hard but DD is thriving on the bottle and that's the main thing I guess. I hope everyone else is well and that others soon find the time in-between nappies and naps to join us soon x

I too have a Marchpfb ds and he is great..hard work but great, I wouldn't change any of it. Trying too to still get the hang of breastfeeding but it has slowly been getting better although my horrible sil said I should stop breastfeeding

Hope you are all enjoying your newborns as much as I am xx

Breastfeeding is a bitch isn't it? We've ended up doing mixed feeds, makes life much easier - isn't approved of by the health visitor though!

CatsRule · 10/04/2012 22:19

Breastfeeding in the hospital got off to such a bad start so we're doing mixed feeding too, we top him up with a bottle afterwards and is slowly taking less formula. I believe in bf which is why i've kept going despite the hard work and the hospital not being supportive of bf, its best for the baby and me but its important that he gets fed and eats enough so i wouldn't feel bad or let anyone make you feel bad about mixed feeding Empusa, mixed is better than nothing at all

Hello ladies - how is everyone getting on??

Well we seem to be moving in the right direction this end after a number of set backs - my stitches are all dissolved and everything looks good 'down below', baby is gaining weight now so we've finally been discharged from MW care and my breasts have 'settled down' which is a nice feeling as they were previously 'frankenboobs' (huge, veiny and lumpy).

I'm knackered but managing to leave the house everyday so I'm not going stir crazy yet - now the only thing I need is a full nights sleep and I will be on top of the world.........that won't be for a long time so I shall just have keep stealing naps where I can.

As for mixed feeding - DH is giving one bottle at night so that I can sleep for more than an hour between the feeding/changing cycle. I don't feel bad about it because it is helping to keep me sane and I intend to use DH as much as possible before he goes back to work.
