First time ever I've started the new thread!

Jabber you have got it all wrong. If there is only the money to send one of you to the UK you need to make the partner stay at home and come yourself Wink.

EustaciaVye · 30/10/2011 15:53

I agree with Indith :)

And cross-ref that location with mine Jabber, and if you came over we may get to meet up :)

jabberwocky · 31/10/2011 01:19

If we can afford for both of us to come over I would absolutely love to! In fact, it is more than a little ironic that the best training for the field is in the UK. Of course, even if I miss the first trip it is certainly possible that I would need to schedule a second one :)

Lol, I somehow missed Indith's post. And you are so right [hwink] except that my new partner has the degree in theater and it's training in all this cool sensory theater stuff that we need. So weird that no one in the US is really doing this yet.

definitely PM me on facebook if you come over :)

Kids back at school today. Yay!

jabberwocky · 01/11/2011 02:29

If I do get the chance to cross the pond (I just love that phrase :)) you lot will be the first to know! We will absolutely have to organize a meetup - even if it's meeting in Indith's hospital room with dc3 [hgrin]

Had a fabulous night trick or treating with the boys and one of their friends from school. Some of the decorations were just phenomenal. Definitely my favorite holiday!!

You can all crowd round the birth pool with the champagne.

jabberwocky · 06/11/2011 02:39

Oh, dear, this thread has gone so quiet...

EustaciaVye · 06/11/2011 17:56

I'm not on MN much these days Jabber. I'm on facebook though so always happy for a chat there :)

DDs tired from a late bonfire night last night....

jabberwocky · 06/11/2011 18:59

I keep meaning to send eye exercises to you but they are on my work laptop and I hardly have time for FB at the office.

I'm stuck!

Dd is under the weather, all clingy and sleepy and no appetite. She slept on the school run this morning and when we got home we came up here to the loft so she could snuggle down and watch Fantasia but she has flipping well fallen asleep, Fantasia is finished and I really can't go anywhere or do anything useful as she is just sprawled on the bed in the middle of a load of junk. If I try to bring her down I'll either wake her and start the clingy complaining again and I don't want to as she clearly needs to sleep or I'll break my neck on the narrow, curved stairs.

I'm cold and she has the duvet.

I am not allowed to spend any more money on Amazon.

I am too pregnant to buy clothes.

My internet is too slow to watch TV or listen to the radio without it getting all stoppy/starty and annoying me.

jabberwocky · 10/11/2011 02:30

Poor Indith! It's too late now, but it would have been nice to have a good book stashed.
I know everyone is busy and on FB but I miss our cozy little thread :(

Me too Jabber, Fb is all very well but it isn't the same as talking is it and this thread is about as close to talking properly as we can get.

EustaciaVye · 10/11/2011 14:07

Hi Jabber and Indith :)

DD actually saw something in 3D for the first time in her last eye appointment, Jabber. I am assuming this is good? They said they dont need to see her until January so 3 months rather than 6 weeks. I dont think things are improving really but they are not worsening which is good.

Both DDs seem pretty tired from school. It has been a bit of a shock for both of them I think DD1 - Juniors and DD2 - Infants..

jabberwocky · 11/11/2011 02:17

Seeing 3 D is good EV. Wish I could pop over and check her out myself and know for sure what all is going on.

Had to go to the school today. Ds1 has been on the receiving end of some unpleasantness on the playground and I just found out about it :( Have been assured it will stop and the counselor has already had a word with the boy. Ds1 said things were OK today. I am guardedly optimistic.

Indith · 13/11/2011 15:25

Sounds like the school is on top of it Jabber, hope it continues that way, your poor ds :(

My granny died last night, she had been in hospital a while after a stroke. She had been doing really well, was awake and chatty (although fairly confused about what era she was living in and who everyone was) for a couple of weeks or so and I saw her during that time but then her body just started to shut down. My poor dad, he had been getting so optimistic when she was doing well. He was very, very close to his mum. I think her death is the best news we could have really under the circumstances, I wouldn't have wanted her to continue deteriorating as she was, she certainly never wanted to go down that road.

A lot of memories in my granny though especially around Christmas. She had a huge house and her 3 sons, wives and all us cousins used to spend every Christmas there right from childhood where it was full of magic to teenage years when we would muffle our giggles in bed as we heard our parents trying to quietly stuff our stockings outside the bedroom door.

jabberwocky · 15/11/2011 03:25

Indith, so sorry :(

Ds1 seems to be doing OK. He and the boy have apparently made up Hmm

I have gathered up some stragglers from the thread on FB if you want to join in.

Just sitting around having Wine tonight. BFF's ds1 just got diagnosed with leukemia last night.
