Where's Dave in all this he is very quiet - why?

Heathcliffscathy · 07/05/2010 10:59

please please please try to HEAR what is being said.

he has NOT come out on the tory side. he has HONOURED his pledge to the UK that whoever gets the most seats needs to TRY to form a minority govt.

he has also emphasised the the electoral system is broken and reform is an absolute must.

i get SO fucking disheartened with kneejerk and in fact inaccurate interpretations. in a situation as complex as this they are worse than useless.

Britain needs a massive electoral overhaul - it's one of the few things I agree with Nick Clegg on. First past the post is outdated and undemocratic. What we need is proportional representation.

BTW, it clearly said on my polling card that voting was from 7am to 10pm...

Skegness · 07/05/2010 11:00

nessa how has he done that?

what are you talking about?

the conservatives have won more seats!!!

he is saying: so ok, now try to form a minority govt.

i'm sorry but PLEASE extrapolating like that is just so wrong.

Heathcliffscathy · 07/05/2010 11:08

The only other party GB can get to support is the Lib Dems. All the other parties added together would leave Labour 14 seats short.

I understand what you are saying Sophable but IMO I think there is more likely to be a Lib/Con coalition than a Lib/Lab but as you say nothing has been decided yet.

This is fascinating!

Heathcliffscathy · 07/05/2010 11:16

minthumbug, he is SIDING WITH THE ELECTORATE.

labour have lost seats, cons have gained.

all he is saying is that the party with the most seats should have first go at TRYING to form govt.

whether they can succeed or not...
