Our constituency has not been announced.

But it's a LibDem incumbent.

My guess is he's lost his seat to SNP.

But I never saw a single Conservative poster here .

We saw one in Largs, however, some distance from here.

Someone had spraypainted 'BASTARDS!' across it .

weegiemum · 07/05/2010 09:45

LOL expat!

Saw no posters AT ALL here - just Nicola Sturgeon rushing down the street and dh almost ran Tom Harris (our MP) down on a pedestrian crossing!

expatinscotland · 07/05/2010 09:47

It was such a relief.

We laughed and laughed when we saw that poster.

It made us feel welcome to the town .

ronshar · 07/05/2010 09:51

Its all well and good remembering the 80's but have you forgotten the nightmare that was the 70's?

I for one would never want to return to that decade.
It was labour wasnt it?

I would like to see Scotland get its own parliament that is completely independant. No more moaning about how horrible the English are then
I am Irish and have wished for an independant Ireland so I know how you feel!

SwansEatQuince · 07/05/2010 09:53

There was a huge Conservative sign up in a field in North Perthshire and cows were using it as a scratching post.

BessieBoots · 07/05/2010 09:55

Huh. Am jealous, and a bit gutted, as a Welsh person and a Plaid voter.

Ridiculous whoever said you should forget the past and look to the future. The core values of the Tories have not changed since Thatcher...

expatinscotland · 07/05/2010 09:56

Hopefully, we will see more devolution as Tories just spin us off because they can't be bothered with Scotland excepting all those twonks up here who call themselves 'Lord' this or 'Lady' that sort of rubbish that makes most people roll their eyes.

zazen · 07/05/2010 10:09

dreaming - you have to know your history or you're doomed to repeat it.

As regards the fat cheques... where do you think most of the UK's wealth comes from? The NORTH SEA! you know, the OIL and GAS in Scottish waters.
I think you are having a topsy turvy day dreaming tis the other way round love, you're subsidised down Saaafh - if not by Scotland, by the EU - apart from a few boroughs in the City of London, which no doubt would love to raise the drawbridge and fill the moat.. .

Ronshar - I presume you haven't heard about the Irish Republic then?!! LOL.. 1946 ring any bells with you? Or is that just History?

crystal123 · 07/05/2010 10:12

Rebuild Hadrians wall.

GetOutOfMoiWayTories · 07/05/2010 10:15

I would like to move to Scotland.

My local MP is now a tory

zazen · 07/05/2010 10:19

It's no surprise the sad emoticon has a blue face... and the yellows are happy!
No comment looks like a coalition..

expatinscotland · 07/05/2010 10:19

I'd move if my MP were Tory.

There's no chance of that here.

ronshar · 07/05/2010 10:21

I meant proper independance. With all of my country back together.

Do you know your history?

FiveOrangePips · 07/05/2010 10:23

I am glad only one Tory got in, I voted to make sure they didn't get in where I am.

I can't understand why they are so against PR, they got more seats in the Scottish Parliament with PR.

SwansEatQuince · 07/05/2010 10:24

I wonder why we were never taught Scottish history in school.....?

Nymphadora · 07/05/2010 10:26

I'm coming (well just let me persuade dh, find us jobs ,house, school....)

We are still Labour so at least we are safe for now though.

thatsnotmymonkey · 07/05/2010 19:05

I know, Scotland is rather progressive I think [smug]
