The incumbent is an easy taget so Brown did ok and didn't screw up

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 15/04/2010 22:18

God I hate ITV news.

Brollyflower · 15/04/2010 22:19

"political death" LOL

Hmm it all looks worse replaid

Wigeon · 15/04/2010 22:19

Kafka9 - not particularly Gordycentric. See the 2009 Mumsnet census - blue and red supporters almost equal here.

Brollyflower · 15/04/2010 22:19

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 15/04/2010 22:20

kafka9, where are you seeing the bbc poll? I could be on the wrong bit of the website....

Sabs1981 · 15/04/2010 22:20

bumper so do I!

RustyBear · 15/04/2010 22:22

Of course, all this presidential-style debating would be a lot more relevant if we had a presidential-style election....

AitchTwoZone · 15/04/2010 22:22

how odd, is that true about the polls? i thought dc did really, really badly.

Brollyflower · 15/04/2010 22:22

I have decided I am not a typical voter so not the target audience for this circus anyway. What I take away from this in terms of how they come across is irrelevant. All that matters is what the majority of those who vote and watched this think. If the hot air has won them over I will be sad. I suspect NC isn't a contender because not being so is a self-fulfilling prophecy really.

BecauseImWorthIt · 15/04/2010 22:24

I don't know how on earth you can say that DC won on the basis of substance. He said absolutely nothing. All soundbites. GB and NC talked about detail and what they would do.

Brollyflower · 15/04/2010 22:24

ha ha GB speaks and the graph goes negative! Were they pressing buttons or measuring their heart rate or something?

hybred77 · 15/04/2010 22:24

how were they measuring this? buttons?

Kafka9 · 15/04/2010 22:25

heathen it was on the news at Ten, but it is on volcanoes now.

I love politics, now getting ready for Paxie's take on the night

Brollyflower · 15/04/2010 22:25

Bolton's undecided picked NC

Spidermama · 15/04/2010 22:26

Fucking hell ITV are spinning this out for all they're worth.

They probably have a couple of million people tuned in who never normally watch the channel.

Actually I'm just being reminded of why I never watch it.

Dave, Gordon, Nick you are LIVE on ITV. PLEASE do not swear.

Brollyflower · 15/04/2010 22:27

Presumably the reason DC and GB don't engage with NC generally because by doing so they reinforce the impression that what he says is irrelevant because lib dems can't win

Sabs1981 · 15/04/2010 22:27

Q & A on televised debates

hybred77 · 15/04/2010 22:27
