If we take the article at face value, I wonder how other leaders might fare ? Say, one multimillionaire who has repeated defended Russian aggression ?

I suspect the test described is not "are you massive mates with Vladdy P. ?"

Andy Burnham

Andy Burnham will need a Moscow test as well as Makerfield test, says ex-military chief

Former Chief of the Defence Staff Admiral Sir Tony Radakin says defence must be a priority for the next prime minister.

You're talking about Farage, I don't know why you don't just name him.

He has not defended Russian aggression. He has stated that the rapid/rushed expansion of the EU to include six countries which were in very recent history part of the USSR or part of the Warsaw Pact and likewise the expansion of NATO would be perceived by Putin as provocative because it removed the buffer on the western flank of the USSR which has existed since the end of World War ii.

There are many, many people who hold the same view.

Even the BBC reports that he states the war in Ukraine is Putin's fault.
