Watching with interest to see how this pans out now…

Yep, no surprise there. I think all of us could foresee this. The lunatics are running the asylum now and the courts are in cahoots. Personally, I also find it outrageous that you can attack a policewoman with a machete and break into property with absolutely no consequences.

MissyB1 · 13/02/2026 12:13

Excellent! The right decision, and I’m not surprised because I was certain the Government had got it wrong. I bet the Police are relieved!

Aliceisagooddog · 13/02/2026 12:20

Too bloody right.

Tel12 · 13/02/2026 12:40

What will happen to the people imprisoned or who have been arrested carrying a sign?

Which lunatics are the courts in cahoots with?

Samuel Corner is still on remand pending another trial for attacking the policewoman with a sledgehammer.

The sort of lunatics who think it perfectly acceptable to cause a million pounds worth of damage to mod property or violently attack an innocent person with a sledgehammer, all in the name of their cause. What do you call them, heroes?

Something can be criminal without it being terrorism. That's the whole point.

Thanks for clarifying. I was genuinely unsure who you meant as you talked about lunatics "running the asylum". I don't think PA are running anything except their own campaign.

You might not like the decision to our turn the ban, but it is based in law. As for the verdicts on PA activists 12 ordinary men and women reached those verdicts, not the courts.

The courts aren't in cahoots with PA.

You might want to do some reading around Defend our Juries and the influence they had on the recent jury deliberations in that case.

BBC news or the guardian online will give you the info you need. I'm surprised you haven't heard of them before.

I meant about Defend our Juries influencing the jury in the PA case. I don't think I have read abput that anywhere. Has it been reported to the police?

Reported to the police? Well the msm are aware and reported on it, so I would think so. But what do you think will happen? If Palestine action protesters can get away with aggravated burglary and violent assault, I can't imagine targeted stickers/ placards/protests advocating for juries to acquit on principles of conscience rather than the law, I wouldn't hold much hope on anything being done about it.

So there is no evidence they "influenced the jury".

There's plenty of ' evidence '. My point being, nothing has been done about it. Did you not find it odd that the Palestine action gang in this case were acquitted, despite video evidence of the attack and a police woman's horrendous injuries ? All to be found on BBC news in case you haven't seen the video.

Whether they did or didn’t is frankly irrelevant though. There is a huge difference between something being criminal and being a terrorist organisation. Aggravated burglary does not reach the threshold of terrorism as the courts have now established.
They were deemed to be terrorists to satisfy government agenda and attempt to restrict protests.

KoalaKoKo · 13/02/2026 14:25

I always thought they were guilty of assault but not terrorism, as they are completely different things. However, I recently read more information on the case, and it seems that one person was obviously guilty of violent assault, but the others were actually defending themselves. There is a portion of video that went missing; the activists say it would show that when they broke into the arms factory that they were met with violence and grabbed things around them to defend themselves. When footage like that disappears - that would show who is telling the truth - you do question the people who had control of the footage! It doesn’t seem as clear cut as some of the media had us believe.

I am glad the majority have been vindicated, the guy still on trial is rightfully being tried for his violent actions.

If (when?) they’re deproscribed I think support for them will swell. If I were Jewish I’d be quite worried.

They were acquitted of some charges by a jury that saw ALL the evidence.

Those on which the Jury could not agree a verdict are to be referred for a retrial.

They are protesting against Israeli action towards Palestinians, not against Jewish people. I think everyone agrees that the two should not be conflated.
