Holding a Hustings

I have been thinking about organising a Hustings for parents in my constituency of babies and maybe also toddlers. A family friendly space where little ones are welcome, and parents can find out more about our local election candidates.

Has anyone organised a baby & toddler friendly hustings before? What advice would you give on where to start? Particularly where to try for a little bit of funding for room hire and possibly refreshments?

It seems very niche.

The candidates don't have many days / weeks to get out to as many people as they can, I don't think you'd persuade all 5/6/7 candidates in your constituency to block out the same night to come and answer questions, unless you were opening it up to the masses. They need to get themselves heard by as many people as possible.

In terms of funding, the local Churches have been very generous in providing the space for free when they have organised hustings over the last few General Elections. If you broaden out your 'market' then that might be any idea of someone to approach ?
