Does Labour have an antisemitism problem?

I'm a lifelong Labour voter. I'm already weary of voting for them again this year because of their hatred of women who won't pretend men can be women. I know they had antisemitism problems under Corbyn, but I thought they'd mostly been solved under Starmer. Especially after Luciana Berger rejoined last year. (She was my MP before she resigned).

But now after this latest thing with a Rochdale MP that Starmer has continued to back I don't know how I could possibly still vote for them. He suggested that Israel allowed Hamas’s 7 October attacks to take place to provide grounds to invade Gaza.

Then who do I vote for? I'd never vote Tory, Greens and Lib Dems (traitors) are completely down the TWAW rabbit hole. There's no one left.

I don't like the tories - at all. I never thought I would vote for them but did so last two times only to keep Corbyn anywhere near number 10. I think the man is a disgrace for so many reasons.

So when I criticise Labour it is not because I am pro Tory.

But they are all over the place. U turns all round. Labour choosing and backing racist - ie anti Jewish - candidates until Monday, then expelling them from the party.

Voting Labour just because they're not Tories is a really lazy option.

If you have a sub post master standing eg against Ed Davey vote for them.

Criticism of Israels current conduct is not anti-semitic, peddling conspiracy theories about Jews is. Clearly the idea that Israeli government went “fuck it let them murder and rape our people, then we’ll have the excuse we are looking for” is actually a pretty ridiculous one.

I’d agree with pp about the toxic mix of socialism, religion and identity politics. I mean god knows I think Netanyahu needs to stop and go but I don’t see the weekly mass demonstrations for Uyghers and Rohinga. There are loads of tragedies in the world but the left gets REALLY upset when it comes to Israel. I don’t understand why they can’t see their blindspot. It does seem like a particular obsession with Israel and you start feeling it’s about Jews. Hundreds of thousands have died in Yemen and it never attracted much attention.

Tbh I’ve been surprised by it, I didn’t actually realise how common anti-semitism is. But I’m not white so I tend to receive pretty blunt and immediate racism rather than the convoluted conspiracy theory type.

Vote for Kellie-Jay Keen's Party of Women instead! Yes, it's a single-issue party. Yes, you may have to stand in your constituency unless you live in a hotbed of eager terfs. No, it won't win any seats, that's not the objective. It's to draw attention to the other parties' avoidance of women's interests.

Actually that is a tactic that the USA has been found guilty of on more than one occasion. Starting with USS Maine whose sinking brought the US into the Spanish American war and is generally deemed to have been done by the US itself.

There was an interesting article in the atlantic about how warnings about 9/11 were ignored and the similarity with what happed on 7th October. The thing they both had in common is that it was primarily female analysts sending up the flares.

Reminds me of that time when Hamas attacked Israel murdering and raping over a thousand people and then claimed to be victims when Israel responded. A bit like that?

But according to @Coyoacan, nearly every war Crime Hamas were accused of on October 7th has Ben disproven and they're not the real terrorists. 🤔
