Largest shake up in the NHS's history - Health and care bill

Yesterday, the Tories passed the health and care bill by 359 votes to 219 to accelerate NHS privatisation.

I can't believe this is being passed under our noses. The general public are completely unaware that this is happening. Literally zero coverage on any news channel.

The bill opens the door to what amounts to a corporate takeover.

Private companies deciding on how NHS / taxpayer money is spent...yes, profiteering companies deciding on what treatment you can receive based on their margins.

Un-tendered contracts being awarded to Tory friends and donors (PPE scandal anyone!) for periods of up to 15 years with no accountability. Cronyism at its worst.

I guarantee that within a few years, the health insurance providers will start offering cheap cover to lure everyone in to make them think that this is better than the service that the NHS can provide. Thats when the government can really start dialling back services and treatments. This is when the price hikes to insurance premiums come and BOOM...we're just like America and the government doesnt have to fund the NHS anymore.

As a nation, we should be storming downing street and protesting 24/7...but just like good little English people, we'll let it happen without a blip as we'll forget about it when Love Island starts.

Once government have decided something all the protesting won't make a jot of difference.
What can we do? Governments have always been crooked and this is also what you get from a Tory government, why are you surprised?

What you say is depressingly true and I have no idea what we can do...apart from moving to Scotland.
