Creepy Letter from MP to uni chancellors

Am I the only one to think this letter is creepy?

Chris Heaton-Harris, Conservative MP for Daventry and a staunch Eurosceptic, wrote to vice-chancellors at the start of this month asking for the names of any professors involved in teaching European affairs “with particular reference to Brexit”.

Lots of bullying these days on Brexit. Odd behaviour. I suppose in the absence of fact or rationale what else can they do?

Seems @Mistigri was correct in the end. Storm in a teacup. Most chancellors seem to have told the MP to fob off which was the right thing to do.

But the letter was weird even given the odd excuse of wanting to write a book.

You're not the only one to find it creepy. Not by a long shot. And the excuse is silly.
