More on Trump

It is a Trump world and as the Modi saying goes

“Aab Ki Baar Trump Sarkar”

and as the Stump for Trump Sisters say

"Get on the Trump Train or get the hell out of the way"

Rock'n'roll

took particular issue with Greer’s repeated assertion that post-operative transgender women are not women
This is biologically true.

"Just to let you know that it was me who has been reported. And I have been warned by MNHQ for goading Southallgirl"

Really, Bertrand? Well I'll be darned. And we all thought the right were all "anything goes, don't censor my free speech"

Indeed - and also convinced that it was lefty lurkers reporting.

Southallgirl has ben repeatedly asked a question about "what does she feel she isn't allowed to say?" etc which is a complete diversion from the thread and Trup.

Claig, you really need to understand that the fact that you start a thread doesn't allow you to dictate what is posted on it. Bertrand wouldn't have felt it necessary to post that question again if Southall had just answered it the first time - after all, it was a perfectly reasonable, straightforward question.

'The right wing has clearly developed a perception that the attitudes that Trump exemplifies have been validated, hence the loss of basic good manners and ordinary consideration.'

You are missing what has happened. The Conservative Party and UKIP are right wing and their political classes were nearly all against Trump, with Farage being about the only one who said he preferred Trump. The Republican Establishment were against Trump and thought he was a dreadful man. They were all out of touch with the people and it was teh people who defied political correctness and voted for Trump and against the politically correct right wing politicians.

This is a people's revolt against the great and the good and the Oxbridge teams

Nassim Taleb explained it, and contrary to what the title of his article might suggest, it is about more than just Blair

"The Intellectual Yet Idiot

What we have been seeing worldwide, from India to the UK to the US, is the rebellion against the inner circle of no-skin-in-the-game policymaking “clerks” and journalists-insiders, that class of paternalistic semi-intellectual experts with some Ivy league, Oxford-Cambridge, or similar label-driven education who are telling the rest of us 1) what to do, 2) what to eat, 3) how to speak, 4) how to think… and 5) who to vote for."

OP posts:
Kaija · 20/12/2016 15:54

This is not a people's revolt. Quite the opposite. That comes next.

claig · 20/12/2016 15:58

'This is not a people's revolt. Quite the opposite. That comes next.'

Ooh dear, the Blairite Communist revolt of the EU former communist commissioners?

OP posts:
SouthallGirl · 20/12/2016 16:07

Claig - That's a great quote from Taleb. I'm going to use it and circularise it in an email.

I knew a fledgling politician with label-driven degrees just before he went into politics. If you can ever recall seeing him on QT or any news programme, you will see the joins of his 'hail fellow well met' persona. I never fell for it when he was working in the same company as I was, but it does work - until you hear him speak.

Once in politics, some bright spark recommended that Edward Davey abbreviate his name to Ed to convey accessibility.

Blairite Communist revolt of the EU former communist commissioners

Now they're communist? Grin

I'm taking it as a joke. Or did you mean it? It's quite hard to tell from your posts.

Kaija · 20/12/2016 16:09

No Claig, the majority who voted against Trump.

Missswatch · 20/12/2016 16:12

Who still won. Like a supernatural entity turned he has turned liberals into pillars of salt

claig · 20/12/2016 16:14

"Now they're communist? Grin

I'm taking it as a joke."

No joke at all. I can't explain it all to you, haven't got time to show you how the elite work. But I will google the Latvian for you. Kaija probably knows him.

"Will you soon need a government ID to log into Facebook? Europe Commission proposes controversial scheme to access social media sites

National ID cards would be needed to log in to online services like Twitter
The idea has been presented by Andrus Ansip who is from Estonia
The main reason is to prevent fake user reviews that mislead consumers
Many people are unhappy saying it will eradicate online privacy

www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3623396/Will-soon-need-government-ID-log-Facebook-Europe-Commission-proposes-controversial-scheme-access-social-media-sites.html

Sorry, this guy is Estonian, not Latvian

"The European Commission Wants You To Log Into Social Media Accounts With Govt-Issued ID Cards

The European Commission plans to attack citizens’ right to online privacy, insisting that state-issued ID cards should be used to log into platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and even Uber.

The Vice President for the Digital Single Market on the European Commission, former Communist Andrus Ansip, is behind the next European Union (EU) raid on personal freedoms, promoting the idea of using national ID cards to log in to online services.

Leaked documents from within the European Commission revealed a call for the roll out of a more extensive use of national ID cards across the EU."

If you think the elites haven't got enough servants to bring in Big Brother and tell Germaine Greer what she is allowed to say in the future, then you are walking around Eyes Wide Shut.

As the Stump for Trump Sisters always say

"Stump for Trump, baby"

I'm on the Trump Train, I want no part of Big Brother and his "servants extraordinaire"

Trump has saved us just in time. I think the EU will collapse and not before time.

"Who still won"

With a little help from his friends.

Now what was it the liberals were stopping you from doing again? What do you think Trump and his donor cabinet are going to do for you?

Kaija · 20/12/2016 16:29

"I think the EU will collapse and not before time."

And what do you think will happen then?

claig · 20/12/2016 16:31

"The EU is a political project founded by a former communist, Iain Duncan Smith says

The Work and Pensions Secretary is fighting for Brexit

The European Union is an explicit political project designed by a former communist, Iain Duncan Smith has said.

The Work and Pensions Secretary, a eurosceptic, said it was important for the British public to realise that the EU was not about trade – but political integration.

He highlighted the contribution of Altiero Spinelli, a political theorist and former European Commissioner, to the founding to the EU.

“The EU was set up by the founding fathers, an important man called [Altiero] Spinelli, an Italian, who was an ex-communist, he designed the Maastricht Treaty and the Single European Act, why?

“He said because this is a political project, bringing the nations of Europe closer and closer together to create a place called Europe and the design of this was such that politicians who come and go could not actually override this decisions of the bureaucracy because otherwise we would never get there.”

Iain Duncan Smith came to life during the Referendum Campaign , he started telling it like it is, a mini Trump.

That boat left the harbour some time ago.

Kaija · 20/12/2016 16:32

Ian Duncan Smith is, as you would say, a very very stupid person.

Kaija · 20/12/2016 16:34

And the EU is absolutely about trade, as we are abut to find out.

claig · 20/12/2016 16:40

Lweji, you live in Portugal, so you probably know that Barroso was a communist in his youth

José Manuel Durão Barroso (ipa: [ʒuˈzɛ mɐˈnu̯ɛl duˈɾɐ̃u̯ bɐˈʁozu], born 23 March 1956) is a Portuguese politician who is the current non-executive chairman at Goldman Sachs International.[1] Previously he was the 11th President of the European Commission (2004–14) and the 115th Prime Minister of Portugal (2002–4).
...
In his university days, he was one of the leaders of the underground Maoist MRPP (Reorganising Movement of the Proletariat Party, later PCTP/MRPP, Communist Party of the Portuguese Workers/Revolutionary Movement of the Portuguese Proletariat). In an interview with the newspaper Expresso, he said that he had joined MRPP to fight the only other student body movement, also underground, which was controlled by the Portuguese Communist Party. Despite this justification there is a very famous political 1976 interview recorded by the Portuguese state-run television channel, RTP, in which Barroso, as a politically minded student during the post-Carnation Revolution turmoil known as PREC, criticises the bourgeois education system which "throws students against workers and workers against students."[

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Manuel_Barroso

Trump weren't no communist, that's probably why the EU bureaucrats don't like him.

Go Trump!

"Jeremy Corbyn claims 'for all his flaws' Fidel Castro was a champion of social justice - sparking a hilarious flood of Internet memes

Labour leader said 'for all his flaws' he was a 'champion of social justice'
Mr Junker wrote that 'the world has lost a man who was a hero for many'
Critics of Cuban revolutionary accused men of praising a brutal dictator"

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3974512/Fury-Jeremy-Corbyn-EU-president-Jean-Claude-Juncker-praise-dead-Fidel-Castro-s-heroism.html

Trump just tweeted "Fidel Castro is dead"
and did he take heat fro that from teh elites, they anted Trump to praise Castro, but

"Trump ain't no communist, bruv"

Trump is for the people against the elites

This is a people's revolt against the great and the good and the Oxbridge teams

This is so ridiculous. It is patently obvious that Trump is installing the business elite in the White House. The people have been totally conned and unfortunately they will see in the years to come that what Trump stands for is just corporate greed and destruction for the benefit of the few.

This is about tearing down any kind of regulation for business. It's not the poor fuckers in the Rust Belt that are going to benefit, it's Trump's family and mates.

Yes quite, usually. And great tweet.

Kaija · 20/12/2016 16:46

What's the EU stopping you doing? Were you hoping to pollute the sea? Buy more dangerous toys for your grandchildren?

Missswatch · 20/12/2016 16:47

What do you think Trump and his donor cabinet are going to do for you?

Nothing for me personally but if I do win the euro millions I might chill at Trump Towers or something

Missswatch · 20/12/2016 16:55

He will however pave a way forward for the liberals to get a thicker skin. No more getting a trophy for losing

Kaija · 20/12/2016 16:56

Misswatch, forgive me, but on the evidence of these threads it's very much the alt-righters who have the thin skins, not the liberals.
