No one has described the incident. So how do you know it was a 'violent brawl'?

And if asked this question without having seem the news today, I'd have thought Prescott, so Labour.

I'm sure it was Stephen Woolf himself who said on PM yesterday that UKIP "at least we're nowhere near as bad as the [internal fighting in the] Labour party, thank God".

They had a heated discussion, SW suggested "taking other outside", the other guy took off his jacket and followed him out and then punches were thrown. And SW then apparently fell and banged his head.

That's what they just said on PM.

One MEP offered to take the other "outside", jackets were Dropped, sleeves rolled up and punches thrown in a corridor.
Wolfe slipped and hit his head, collapsed a couple of hours later.

UKIP have always been an absolute embarrassment in the EU parliament.

It's beyond doubt that something happened, but it'd be going far too far to extrapolate that to violent brawl.

And collapsing two hours later? One sided symptoms? Did the poor chap have a stroke?

Yes, he hit his head. But he collapsed some hours later and does not appear to have a subarachnoid haemorrhage. So with one sided symptoms, surely that suggests TIA/stroke?

We don't know whether there is a causative link between the two events, or if the principle cause of one sided symptoms accompanied by collapse is indeed a possibility.

He's in overnight, I'm sure we'll hear in due course. A stroke would have shown from a blood test wouldn't it? But they might just not be releasing the info.

Regardless, a 49 year old man who thinks it's appropriate to throw punches should not be representing our nation. (Unless it's in an Olympic boxing ring)

If the stroke had been fatal, the police would be investigating if the other UKIP MEP should face manslaughter charges
