It's been investigating the Iraq war and it's going to say Tony should't have started it, is that right?

But Tony is no longer an MP and it's all a decade ago. So what exactly is going to happen as a result?

There is speculation that Blair and several other Labour MPs could be indicted for war crimes.

Except that the ICC have said that it is outside its remit to investigate the decision to invade so it's focus is actually possible abuse by the troops rather than those who gave the orders. They don't call Blair Teflon Tony for nothing

I believe Jeremy Corbyn is waiting for this before agreeing to step down, he wants to have his say in Westminster and possibly call Blair a war criminal.

It is an important report because most of the MP's, from all parties, voted yes to the war based on the truthfullness of Blair and his all allies reports on WMD's, if those reports were false then MP's were duped in to voting yes, as was the public who decided it was for the best.

I marched with 2 million others on the Stop the War march in London, February 15th 2003.

By the time I had found my coach home on Park Lane, B'Lair was on the radio downplaying and dismissing the March, a month later the invasion of Iraq began.

Iraq's agony continues. But worse it has spread to Syria and on and on to the myriad of terrorist attacks which were born of the illegal invasion of Iraq.

What B'Lair and Bush did is very much alive today.

Hardly surprising. The report doesn't go far enough in its criticisms (ie Blair) and Blair is still denying everything.
What a waste of time and money. How long did we wait for this?

I really hate the fact they most media stations are only reporting the deaths of UK solidiers and are barely mentioning the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths.
How is Blair not a war criminal?
This is getting downplayed too much it cannot be written off as a mistake. I grew up listening to weapons of mass destruction constantly being pounded out by the news and the fear and scaremongering that it created. And now we have Syria and Isis, it's the same story different name. Keeping people in a constant state of fear so that they can be excused for what ever they do.

It wasn't a mistake.

I read on a thread once about a year or two ago that Blair is caught up in some pretty dodgey shit in the Middle East and is close to getting his comeuppance. Have no idea as to the truth of that statement but it will be interesting to see what the report says and whether this precipitates any 'action'.

So now this report makes clear Tony Blair knew going to war in Iraq would increase terrorism (which it did) and it would destabilise the Middle East (which it has) do we finally get public support for taking refugees displaced by war and terrorism in or is that still not our problem?

Blair is on TV now justifying everything.
